yea, i love being able to just hold it and navigate the movie without having to even point or hold it a certain. infrared remotes feel terrible after having used a bluetooth one.

Does the PS3 upconvert regular DVDs to 1080 as do other Blu-Ray players? I know the early PS3s did not - but the new ones?

it was an added feature in one of the "updates"...had nothing to do with being an old or new PS3.

(ALL PS3's can upconvert via the HDMI connection with the latest firmware download.)
