Just got mine and watched the theatrical trailer. I was laughing pretty good, it looked like a fake grindhouse trailer.

just saw this in best buy today, HAD to pick it up naturally. and there were many other stallone movies out as well. also picked up conan the barbarian. ha, COnan and CObra. yeah!

i dont know how you can be an action movie fan and NOT like cobra in some way. i personally think the movie is just awsome. yeah but its also a bit scary too. the bad guy in this is probably one of the creepiest freaking villians ive seen in any film. ive seen that guy in a few things, even braveheart, but he is creepy as hell! and stallone is....smoooooooth in this! awsomely bad one liners, how can you not love dis??

I love COBRA, to me the character is a huge eighties icon, almost the epitome of the eighties cop action movie.

And woow... this is the 25th anniversary.

i paid the full $15. guess i hate bargain hunting lol. but honestly i love sly more then arnie. arnold is awsme but stallone has that likeability that arnold kinda lacks. i guess its because of rocky but he always seems like a nice guy even when hes being "badass". but i think the biggest problem with cobra is simply that stallone is pretty one dimensional and not given enough character in this film. he says alot of cheap one liners and thats it, not much of a personality. if they fleshed him out more and made him more of a memorable character, not only would we have cobra sequels, but also would have yet a 3rd memorable character from stallone. its a shame, but the movie is still extremly cool in a way that can only come from the 80's.

I ordered this movie from my local shop on monday and I've been notified it has arrived (along with Hills Have Eyes & X-Men: First Class). So I'll be nabbing this one tonight. It's been so damn long since I've watched this.

Stallone is da' man.

I picked up this and Demolition Man both from my local walmart.

They both look good in terms of pq but i give a slight nod to Demoliton Man.

But Cobra did not age well at all. I had not watched the movie in years. I have not been this disappointed in a movie I loved as a kid since I watched Robocop.

Question

Does anyone know if the U.S. Cobra has artwork on the inside? I have the Chinese version and it does. However, I have The Demoliton Man & Over the Top U.S. Blus and they both had Nothing (just a plain/blank white).

If you don't mind "triple feature" packs... Assassins / Cobra / The Specialist for $11.99 on Amazon.

Not a lot of people know that Cobra was originally 2 hours long before Stallone cut it down to 87 minutes. He was afraid that Top Gun would annihilate it at the box office and wanted a shorter running time to get in more screenings.

The tactic didn't work, and the movie underperformed, and now we are left with the gutted version of Cobra for life.

Many scenes and subplots when out the window, including the scene that featured the track "Skyline", part of Sylvester Levay's score.

Enjoy this remix.
