This whole movie is a giant mess. It could've been so much better if they used Jesse Eisenberg using his strength in high school more. Those were the only good scenes, sadly. The new version of the movie seems to be badly copy & pasted with two endings and villains for some reason.

So there's only 1 version of this ''so bad it's good'' Cravenesque film ? It sucks really ! I would buy at 6$ on amazon even if the video isn't that good. It couldn't suck more than the dvd one and it was still watchable !

What an overrated actor... he made that Facebook movie and what ? Yeap that's it ! I know he made other films but let's be honest, using Christina Ricci big titties is more attractive than Jesse ''Dick head'' Eisenberg.

Sadly the film was doomed whenthe Weinsteins greenlit it. Reshoots over 2 years. Major script changes. They filmed like 90% of the original script then production was shut down. They rewrote it significantly. Changing whole characters. Removing some. Fully rewrote basically the whole thing. Then they shot like 90% of that script. Then did reshoots later. The final film is essentially a cut and paste job from 3 attempts at a film. It flows weird has an inconsistent tone. Just an unfortunate mess. Heather Langenkamp and Skeet Ulrich apparently had roles before the first time production shut down. Would love to see some assembly cuts of the various versions. A neat documentary or something about how NOT to make a movie. Craven was dicked around by that production for like 2+ years.

I really enjoy this movie. I don't know if I like it because it's actually a good movie or because it has sentimental value to me. I will always remember the day back in high school when me and all my friends went to see this for the first time. It was quite a crazy day, can't write the details here, lol!

Christina Ricci's forehead is quite the show stealer.

I remember watching 'They' years ago and being really surprised how good it was. Anyone know if this is an 1080p encode?
'Cursed' is apparently 1080i so I'm assuming this might be as well...

UPDATE:
I bought the Miramax Double Feature that has "They" and "Cursed" on 1 disc and can confirm
both movies are 1080p. I think the picture quality is quite good for both movies.
Didn't notice any edge sharpening, but did see a significant amount of
black crush in "Cursed" but besides that I still think it's a great transfer

Some pretty bad CGI aside I really enjoyed Cursed (unrated cut anyways) One of my favorite Craven guilty pleasures.

I would love to see the original version before it was reshot.

Cursed for sure could use a proper release, but They was perfectly fine.

I agree. A collectors edition from Shout Factory would be really nice. With some new extras and the original aspect ratio. Both cuts.
