How many Blu-rays did you collect before buying a Blu-ray Player?

0. I bought my first blu rays the day I bought my PS3.

I bought the PS3 at launch in Nov 06 and it came with a Blu Ray (Talladega Nights) which was very nice and thoughtful of Sony. I also made sure to have a couple from Netflix here at the time.

Back then Blu's tended to be a little pricey.

I had one or two of Disney's combo packs which I specifically picked up since I planned on going Blu someday. For some stupid reason I didn't do that with Bolt tho, which I later regretted (though I did finally get Bolt on Blu from Blockbuster's 5 for 20 not too long ago)

Just one - Sleeping Beauty

I was waiting on Oppo 83 Blu ray player to be released for sale but my most favorite Disney animation, Sleeping Beauty, came out before the player. I went ahead and bought the blu ray and lucky for me, it also included a DVD version, which was superior to the old DVD version.

Happy all round. When I finally bought my blu ray player, it was just heaven to watch blu ray of Sleeping Beauty.

Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 were the first BDs I bought after getting a player. Didn't get a TV for another 2 weeks after that.

Just one, and that was the movie that convinced me to convert to blu-ray because the DVD version was letterboxed. If it had been released as anamorphic, I may have never converted to blu-ray. I bought it a bunch of months before owning a blu-ray player because I was afraid that this blu-ray would become out-of-print and I wanted to have it if I would eventually convert to blu-ray in the future.

I bought a PS3 and The Dark Knight at the same time. But then had to return the PS3 cause I needed the money and was stuck with TDK for 1.5 years before I bought another PS3, a slim one this time.

I bought 7 Blu-rays before I got my Blu-ray player. All were combo packs so I was watching the DVD's before I could watch the Blu-rays.

Im with most people here i bought my ps3 back in 08 and blu's were expensive then i bought Rob Zombie's Halloween and didn't buy anymore till the beginning of this year
