Yep, I agree. My NES and SNES still work but I also have no doubt that my PS3 EASILY had/has more hours on it than either of those systems combined.

Does anyone know how I can transfer my saved data? Do I just go to my saved data and copy it to a USM drive and then transfer that to the new PS3? Or does the data save to my HD? Can I just simply put my current HD into my new PS3 and it's like good to go?

NO NO NO AND NO! Sony does this thing where they format the HD whenever you put a new one into PS3. If your system has the YLOD, you would need to pay someone to get it re-flowed or re-balled (and don't send it to sony for this because you will not get your PS3 back, you will get someone elses). Once it is back up and running, if its not already, you will be able to backup the system as a whole using a USB flashdrive or HDD. It should be in System Settings - Backup PS3. You can also do this manually, by going into your Game Save data and copying it to your external drive. There are a lot of gamesaves that are copywrite protected and will not copy over to your drive. I'd say a good 75% of my game saves actually copied to my HD. (I did it manual because in order to use the Backup feature, the PS3 calculated roughly 8 hours of transfer time)

If both Ps3's work, you can use the system link.
