Default bobs burgers

The show centers on the Belcher family who run a hamburger restaurant on Ocean Avenue in an unnamed seaside community (informally known as "Seymour's Bay" among the show's writing staff). Series creator Loren Bouchard commented in a 2012 interview that the show's location was an indeterminate Northeastern United States shore town. Entertainment writers have later described the show as being set in New Jersey, citing the season three episode "It Snakes a Village". The restaurant is located in a two-floor building sandwiched between a funeral home and a building where tenants come and go on a regular basis, and the Belcher family lives in the apartment directly above the restaurant. Bob's Burgers is a struggling restaurant situated on a commercial street that relies heavily on traffic from the local amusement park, Wonder Wharf, which is located on a pier at the end of Ocean Avenue and owned by Calvin Fischoeder, an eccentric millionaire who also owns many buildings in the town, including the one where Bob's Burgers and the Belchers' home is located.

Success is not easy, as Bob must compete with several other eateries for business. His biggest rival is Jimmy Pesto's Pizzeria, the owner of which Bob particularly dislikes. Bob's restaurant also has seen its fair share of bad luck. For example, in the show's open, Bob's Burgers falls victim to a fire, an infestation of vermin, and a utility pole that falls over and crashes into the building. In spite of all this, Bob does have a loyal but small group of regular customers including Mort, the owner of the funeral home, and Teddy Francisco, the local handyman.

H. Jon Benjamin - Bob Belcher

John Roberts - Linda Belcher

Dan Mintz - Tina Belcher

Eugene Mirman - Gene Belcher

Kristen Schaal - Louise Belcher

They both suck, IMO. I really only watch Family Guy and The Cleveland Show on Sunday nights on Fox. Sometimes I'll watch The Simpsons. I'm not a fan of American Dad though. I would rather Fox show The Cleveland Show instead of American Dad.

I have been a fan of this show since it first aired. I even went to the Live show they put on out here in Seattle and met the cast and writer. I finally decided to check on this site to see if there was a fan forum on here but I guess not. Would be nice to have an offical forum for Bob's Burgers on here to discuss with other fans. This show is a breath of fresh air from Family Guy and American Dad but the humor for those 2 shows are starting to get a little dry. Bob's Burgers are more down to earth fun family humor and I love it.

This show is underrated. I like how many of the core characters are against type. Linda, the mother, is a ditz. Louise, the youngest child, is a hell-raiser. Tina, the oldest, is a weird one. She's a nerdy type who is discovering her sexuality. The show isn't a masterpiece, but I really like it. The voice cast is great too.

I love Gene, but I don't think he's as unique as the other characters I mentioned.

What on earth is going on with this season as far as I can see 16 episodes on the books, but they are airing them all so sporadically and in small groupings. I mean I am not watching right now as I like to binge it over a period of a month at the end of the season, but I just went to check today when it is going to end and I could't figure out why it was airing so oddly this year.

Maybe the movie is eating up their time as they ramp up work for it?

Its Fox, despite Bob's Burgers' immense popularity, they seem to use it as filler or an alternating show. This has been going on for the last two season too. I'm sure the showrunners are frustrated too about the treatment.

I previously order season 1 and 5 from Amazon. Season 1 quality was good. 5 also seemed ok. I just got the season 2 DVD and the quality is poor. The colors seem off on both TVs and the video is pixelated. I have a feeling I'll sell of the DVDs and just buy digital on Amazon.

Only Season 1 has been released at retail in Australia, though the remaining seasons are region free and available on Amazon.

The quality is awful though, and I cannot recommend it. The fact that it's a downscale from a digital HD source is plain as day. The film-sourced animated shows from back in the day fare a lot better on DVD. I would kill to see a properly done remaster of the classic Simpsons and King of the Hill. I'm not sure when King of the Hill had made the transition to digital, but the early seasons at least were done on film.

Considering that they're MOD anyway, I don't quite understand why FOX isn't offering a Blu-ray option. Hell, Blu-ray should be the *only* option. I am mildly tempted to grab the remaining seasons, but I just can't justify paying through the teeth for such crap looking DVDs, and the fact that they're MODs makes them even less appealing. I could opt for iTunes (ugh) but then I'd have to tolerate the low bitrates without the benefit of having a physical copy.
