Default Tornado Red's Home Theater Thread

I'm a fairly new member. Just upgraded my display in the HT room around Christmas to a 60" Panny, moved my 42" to the livingroom as you'll see in the home theater gallery. My collection of blus is slightly more biased to concerts than movies, great live concerts were made for blu-ray I think. I guess we always want "more", but I'd say I'm quite content with things for now. Considering installing a crow bar next to my over stuffed chair, it's awfully hard to leave that room...thanks for viewing folks...

Thanks very much. The unit the Panny is on is quite deep, the PSB 100 not so much so there was room to put it on the unit just behind the tv.

Hey TR that bridge came out looking great.

Nice to see the CC has a new home besides being behind the display.

Four new pics for my HT. One is a blue LED rope light added to the back edge of the bridge between the towers of my system, just for effect. I'm happy with it, but I've seen some great ones on here, which is where I got the idea. The other 3 recent pics are of the new PSB Alpha B1 speakers I got this week and am using as side surrounds to complete my 7.1.

Added a couple more items of late, spent WAY too much money since Christmas on my stuff. But it's only money and I'd just end up blowing it on foolish things anyway, like food and shelter. Added the Polk equipment in January, Oppo a month ago or so, the Pioneer SC-61 AVR 2 weeks ago, and the Emo XPA-3 yesterday. I'm done for awhile, taking what little cash I have left to buy things to play on it

Upgraded my main speakers to Polk RTi A9's this month, other speakers moved around in domino fashion. My main Polk Monitor 75T's are now my side surrounds, the PSB Alpha B1 side surrounds now become my rear surrounds mounted in the floor joist bay of my ceiling. Out are the Radio Shack Minimus 7's I had for rears. Almost shed a little tear for the 7's, I've had them for 30 years. The Emo XPA-3 runs the A9's and centre, my Pioneer SC-61 runs the sides and rears.

After installing the A9's and moving the Monitor 75T's to side surround duty, I lived with this set up for a week because...at risk here is my room looking like either Stonehenge or a scene from 2001: A Space Odyssey (monoliths), pick your poison. After a week I thought it was doable, so went ahead and installed the PSB's in the ceiling today. Sounds great, I'm happy. Uploaded half a dozen or so new pictures (including one of the PSB installation) today. Thanks for taking a peak...

Bill
