Question

Jeez... just when you think things have gotten as anal as they can on Blu-ray.com....

I gotta ask, what do you people do with your discs that they need bags? Comics get bagged because they're paper, they bend and crease with normal use. The BD disc that gets played already comes in a plastic case that sits on a shelf between uses. What's next? Rigid plastic boxes that hold the bagged cases? And bags for those boxes?

I wont speak for all but some people, like myself, bag the BD that come with slipcovers to avoid them getting a lot of shelf wear from going back & forth on the shelf. I also bag my steel books. The movies that come in normal plastic case I don't.

So, any updated suggestions? I would prefer just straight sleeves, where you could provide your own tape to close.

But if resealable sleeves are still the way to go, how about sleeves where the sticky strip is on the body, and not the tab?

Regular dvd cases, blu-ray cases, and boxsets? I'm looking at eBay sellers too.

Here's some I found for standard dvd cases: https://www.ebay.com/itm/100-Clear-S...8/130883576884

I'm just tired of dusting and/or worrying about dusting all the time.

In the uk i used these bags on pretty much everything standard blu ray cases, ones with slipcovers and steelbooks still sealed with jcard. When i purchased them back then they was almost perfect. Just the odd steelbook due to jcard being thicker never fitted.

I lost touch on where i got these and being in Australia now i just not found the right ones. Ones i got last has the seal at top and are made obviously more for dvds and look silly. Ones i got prior was either a tight fit over slipcovers and a number of steels they did not fit.

Im obviously looking for a good quality type but cheap also as want to replace most i used in past.
I know there are proper steelbook plastic sleeves available but i have a very large steelbook collection and they are pricey and i just can't justify the costs in them including shipping.
So the sleeve bags are next best thing, its just getting the right ones.

Any help or info would be great.

I recently bought some archival-quality resealable sleeves fitted for Blu-ray cases to protect some of my rare and out-of-print titles. It's just extra peace of mind, I guess; plus, I like the glossy look it adds. It also keeps dust from collecting on them. I put all of my steelbook releases in them (the few I have) given that those tend to be so susceptible to damage, paint getting scratched, etc.

I had a bunch a while back but decided to just get rid of them. They didn't appear to do much other than provide an extra step to opening the case. However, I do like to have sleeves for vinyl.
