I'm suspecting it's a big mystery.

Saw the second half of the premiere....and the only big mystery to me is what people see in these "oooh, a mysterious puzzle" shows.

I'm out.

Have fun.

The Mystery

They are fun cause you can never really tell what you're going to get from Episode to Episode. Assuming it is a decent Mystery puzzle.

I thought it was alright. But what bothered me was the following.

SO here we are trying to find this guy and then out of nowhere, they are meant with a FREAK OF THE WEEK like storyline.

Did that not feel a little out of place to you guys?

Hey, I gave it a shot. It's certainly no Exorcist, which is what I'd consider to be a great example of a high quality paranormal story.
but if you dont like 99% of shows like this...why the hell bother? guess you like wasting your own time

yea, that was another thing i forgot to mention...it didnt seem to fit...if they are going to run into a new spirit or whatever and they know about each one will be a stretch...

Naaahhh....I watch these shows because my girlfriend watches 'em. We live together, and I work (mostly) on my laptop, from my couch. I work any hours I like, and I like to sleep in, so I often work into the late evening; I work with the TV on, though I don't watch intently. I just have it on to have some ambient sound in the room (if there's no music on).

Much of the time, we watch movies and/or series that I'm interested in, as she and I have many interests in common.

However, TV isn't one of them. Other than some documentaries, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, COPS, Boardwalk Empire and AFV, I don't watch TV other than local news. Well, the occasional cable series, but not very much other stuff at all.

Her? She'll watch any ol' thing, and get riiiight into it. But, when we discuss what she's seen, she often comes to realize just how formulaic it is.....especially when I point it out (and point it out I do....it gets me out of some horrendous television).

I also see Alcatraz occasionally....but I don't watch it, either. Hate that one, too.

I intend to give it a chance but it already conflicts with other shows I watch so it will be judged harshly to see if I want to continue fighting the schedules and trying to remember to watch other shows I may miss online at a later date.

Eh. They all grew up going to all these jungles and countries and with Emmet they heard tons of stories etc, as shown in the flashbacks. Its very plausible that they do recall any of these spirits that show up. I dont mind it too much.

It was a solid premiere. Nothing ground breaking but it seems like a fun show to enjoy with the GF.

Anyone else still watching? I have a feeling I may watch it until this season is over and then decide if I wanna stick with it any longer then that. I think it's got what, 5 eps left now? The shaky cam stuff.. yeah, I don't know that I have the patience for that each week.

This show is so damn depressing. If I was on that boat, I'd just kill myself. **** being stalked and tortured every couple minutes by gray people who just keep creepin. I didn't really care for the ending to this episode though. Just felt blah and didn't really leave you wanting to see next week's episode.

Not really caring for it just yet, but it's what...8 episodes long, so I might as well keep watching. I just doin't care for the FREAK-OF-THE-WEEK type storyline. This is ABC, not the CW.

I finally watched the first three episodes I had on DVR last night and I must say its not all it was advertised to be. Out of the two mid-season shows I'm watching being this and Alcatraz I would miss Alcatraz more.

I may give it a couple more episodes but its not as good as I thought it would be and none of the characters/actors seem a bit interesting.

Well I really liked the first episode but the second one was very boring. Hopefully the third is good enough to hold my interest. I typically enjoy shows like this but so far I'm mixed on this series.

Another episode without a good cliffhanger =/

Still a decent episode overall. That little girl creeps me the **** out though. Really don't like her, lol.

Jahel? They do a good job making her over to look like a little girl. She's actually a 20 year old actress. A really cute one too.

I thought the first episode was ok. The documentary style wasn't doing it for me, though.

I dont think shes supposed to be a "little girl". I think shes supposed to be like 16-18 in the show. Not too far off from her actual 20.

The show is entertaining. But its pretty clear it has a formula every week, but most shows do.

Ill keep DVRing it and watching it at my leisure.
