I never said that you said that! I was just making sure that MY STANCE was clear.

I made the comment that PS2 games that can be purchased from the PSN and are being emulated that those games will not have trophy support. It is my fear that GTA3 and GTA:VC will merely be the PS2 versions.

I made it clear that remaster collections do not apply. I do VERY MUCH hope that the GTA games get a full remaster and get trophy support and HD upgrades.

Just ordered the Jak & Daxter Collection

The ps2 library is freaking epic! I was thinking of getting myself a Ps2, but since most of the best games already came out and the rest will hopefully get a ps3 release, I stopped myself.. For now

That!

In addition, if or when GTA: SA does get a PS3 treatment, I hope it is NOT based on the 1st press release edition. As some of you might recall, the first press release of SA was full of bugs, especially a certain Zero's RC mission!

If done right, all the early Medal of Honor games would be splendid in HD.

Also, it wouldn't hurt if they re-did Call of Duty: Finest Hour as I find this on PS2 very slow in player movement.

Call of Duty: Finest Hour is already on the PSN Store under the title Call of Duty: Classic with HD graphics and trophies that includes a platinum

I wouldn't mind some of the old WWE SmackDown! games being remastered or remade in HD, those were the good old days.

Call of Duty: Classic is a port of the 2003 PC game, not Finest Hour.

I wouldn't get my hopes up either I doubt it'll happen for a variety of reasons, but hey, a man can dream.

My fondest PS2 memories while inclusive of Prince of Persia, GTA, and Star Wars: Bounty Hunter still pale in comparison to Dark Cloud, which was an exceptionally beautiful game so I would love a HD collection to be made for that and its sequel.

GTA III is now available for the PS3 via the PSN. Has anyone bought it? How does it look on the PS3?

GTA III is not an HD version though, it's just the same old PS2 game.

I know, but since both my old PS2 and the fat 60Gb PS3 have retired, this converted version is the only chance I can play the game again. Just curious about its picture quality (even in SD).

despite being a year old, i thought i might spark an interest in an old favorite game i used to play on the ps2...

Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly was recently ported into the ps3, and i purchased it for 9.99 clams,

Stereo (i matrix it via 5.1)
The graphics aint bad, not bad at all unless i was pixel peeping.
The good ol save data is used on a memory card (yes people, we used to save in slot 1 for game saves)...

Quick run (no pun intended), it still 'feels' like it did ten years ago. Solid game for my 10 bucks. I still have it in my collection, the original game in its original case too.
