I found it horribly lame and derivative of just about every post-apocalyptic show or movie that has gone before Revolution. Being on NBC, the production values looked cheap and the casting was largely mediocre.

Hopefully the world's power will go out any minute now so viewers can be saved from watching Revolution. It's going to end up being the same type of series as The Event or Terra Nova.

I actually liked Flash Forward and Terra Nova. Crazy how those get canned but a show I think is terrible - Falling Skies survives for multiple seasons.

Pushing daisies, reaper, and firefly are other shows that have left me hanging. At least firefly got the movie. It's hard now to invest time in a show now since they always get cancelled. Then when a show catches on I'm backed up 2 seasons ala Breaking bad lol

Revolution got a 4.1 in the ratings last night. I think it will drop big next week with some of the reaction I've seen. I liked it, but apparently a lot of people didn't. I will give this show my standard 11 episode chance to pull me in. I would hope that people won't judge this show after one episode. The only show to pull me in from the start is Lost.

Doesn't help this show goes head to head with Monday Night Football.

I had a distinct Jeremiah/Jericho vibe with Revolution.... if it can last hopefully it can survive on its own two feet and make its own identity... as is, it's run of the mill. I love genre shows and want them to succeed but they have to do something new or bring back something old... not same ole, same ole....

That's pretty generous.

I didn't watch it yet but Billy Burke is the only reason I'm considering it. I really don't find the ads or concept very intriguing.

I really enjoyed the pilot, but the ratings were less than impressive. A shame because Revolution had a ton of potential.

Huh? The ratings were monstrous. NBC is extremely happy.

Every story I'm reading is saying the ratings for the premiere were very good.

They were extremely, extremely good. It broke some serious records.

It was the highest drama premiere in 3 years for any network and the highest for NBC in over 5 years. That is literally revolutionary

Sorry, even Canada's own Tracy Spiridakos could not get me to watch more than the pilot. I thought it was brutal.

'All the power is gone'. OK. Battery. Nuclear. Electricity. Wind? Solar? Etc. Not enough science and too much fiction for my liking.

Thought it was: Part Hunger Games (bows!). Part swashbuckler (S-words!). Part The Event/Flash Forward/etc. Zero parts Lost.

But the absolute shot of the pilot was the guy getting shot with an arrow and then flying 10 feet backwards. That there is internet gold.

Which is why NBC made the lead character a teen girl, strikingly reminiscent of the Hunger Games. You are not the target audience.

The perfectly groomed characters with new clothing stood out like a sore thumb, in a world that supposedly hasn't had electricity for 15 years.

I thought the pilot was outstanding. Terrific looking show. And I stand corrected on the ratings, I was clearly very wrong. I guess I'm used to Lost type ratings.

This premiered much better than that. But we'll see what happens in week 2. Alcatraz saw a huge drop.
