I knew going into the theater I would not like the movie. It had Ben Stiller so I had to go see it. It was either this or Step Up 4. 7PM show and only had about 10 other people in the theater with me.

Kind of hope Total Recall wont be as bad. Next movie I really want to see is Hope Springs.

I liked it, really enjoyed myself. Lots of violence played for laughs, so that was great. Andy Samberg cameo!

The people I was with hated it for the most part though.

i enjoyed the movie a lot, i had a really good time, the movie has plenty of laughs but i was still very disappointed, the story is horrible and Ben Stiller's characters subplot felt very forced and made the movie a bit uneven. the movie has a lot of funny lines and hilarious scenes, a lot of it is hit and miss but theres a joke every minute so it evens out. The movies only real problem in my opinion is the entire plot everything else i think worked for the most part. I dont blame Seth Rogen or Evan Goldberg for the shitty storyline, im pretty sure all they did was do a re-write of Jared Sterns screenplay and just added a bunch of raunchy comedy. i blame Jared Stern(Mr. Poppers Penguins) for all of the movies problems. The Watch kind of reminded me of a Coneheads the movie, it had a lot of laughs mostly stupid immature comedy but still very funny in my opinion but it had a really stupid boring cliched storyline which kind of ruins the movie. It really sucked that they didnt give The Watch the plot it deserved because i think this had the potential to be a pretty epic comedy and possible a great comedy franchise but instead its just one of those comedies people will talk about less and less as the months go by, although its very possible that this movie may find a cult audience. Overall if you just want to laugh and have a good time and dont really care about the plot go watch The Watch but if you care about plot then you should just rent this. I know i may sound like i didnt like this movie but i did, i was just expecting something completely different, i give The Watch a 6.3/10

Bad movie bump.

Actually, I'm bumping because I just saw this today. I smirked a few times, but mostly from stuff I had already seen in clips and trailers. The characters were funny, and I enjoyed the cast, but the story was so terribly written that it took away from the decent comedy bits there were. And the ones that weren't bogged down by the terrible story were all given away in the trailers and clips I mentioned. Too bad, because I was really hoping to like this. I was on board from the trailers, and tried to ignore the piss poor reviews. In the end, the critics got it right.

I agree, pretty much. Except I'd adjust the score to 1 out of 5.

Just caught this on On Demand....it was pretty bad. I've gotta quit letting the GF pick movies. I want my $6 back.
