i liked the who scar, staples thing - it's scary and what not, its what scared me when I was child. I was afraid of Chucky for years including human-like dolls (not barbies or anything). I finally got over the fear when I was in middle school. I don't find him really scary in the first 3, but he looks creepier in Bride.

I'm completely content with the balance of humor and horror. I think Mancini has a great grasp on how to deliver both. The disdain for Seed still perplexes me. I laughed hysterically the first viewing and thought the effects were great. Either continuing in that tradition or bringing it back to basics is fine with me. I'm hoping, and judging by the poster art created for selling the film, that the humor is still prevalent (the tagline being "Be afraid, be effing afraid", pointing out the title pun I overlooked) and that the straight up dark stuff is saved for the remake/reboot that's been in development hell for nearly 5 years. Have the whole gang deliver one last goofy/gory flick and then have them all switch on a dime and deliver a great, modern updating the original setup.

Major disappointment .
Slow , cheap-looking, unsatisfying and just a weak effort all around. Fiona Dourif was great in here but thats about it. The resolution(s) was abysmal and confusing and very unsatisfying. 5/10 and that is being kind |
