Don't think they'll be from SC. I'm thinking next year from the sound of it from Hammer via their blog and comments lately. And I just heard one other bit for DRACULA was found that will be added back in as well (in addition to the extra bits of the Drac disintegration already found).

I think Hammer themselves own the UK rights to Curse/Dracula/The Mummy so they will be releasing them

Warner Bros. hold (or did) the rights to Dracula and The Curse of Frankenstein. Universal have The Mummy rights. I guess Hammer went after the money for funding their movies back in the day without realising how important it was to hold home video distribution rights!

I think a lot of people would have made a few quid if they knew that 50 years later their films would still be so popular!

Synopsis:
Baron Victor Frankenstein is the archetypal aristocrat: well-read, cultured and arrogant. Beyond the sophisticated veneer exists a cruel, utterly unscrupulous man, obsessed with ambition. Determined to realise his greatest dream, to create life, he assembles a creature from organs gathered from various unwilling donors. The creature is successful brought to life but the instability of the brain, irretrievably damaged, causes uncontrollable and violent spasms that result in indiscriminate murder... and it is the Baron to whom the blame is laid, with fatal consequences.

History:
The Curse of Frankenstein is a classic 1957 British horror film by Hammer Film Productions, based on the novel Frankenstein (1816) by Mary Shelley. It was Hammer's first colour horror film, and the first of their Frankenstein series. Its worldwide success led to several sequels as well as the studio's versions of Dracula (1958) and The Mummy (1959) and established "Hammer Horror" as a distinctive and uniquely British brand of Gothic cinema. The film was directed by Terence Fisher and starred Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee in two of their most iconic roles.

Cast:
• Peter Cushing as Baron Victor von Frankenstein
• Christopher Lee as The Creature
• Hazel Court as Elizabeth
• Robert Urquhart as Dr. Paul Krempe
• Valerie Gaunt as Justine
• Noel Hood as Aunt Sophia
• Melvyn Hayes as Young Victor
• Paul Hardtmuth as Professor Bernstein
• Fred Johnson as Grandpa

Do want!!!

Seems Warner no longer have the rights?

I really wish Peter Cushing was still alive to do an audio commentary.

I always thought Warners held the UK rights - they did distribute the DVD. But this release is phenomenal!

Hammer owns CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN, DRACULA, and THE MUMMY outright in the UK only. Everywhere, WB has it.

This I must own.

I am actually a bit ashamed to admit it, but I have never watched Curse of Frankenstein. Most of my Hammer watching was done on German television back in the 1980's. Danish television almost never showed any horror, but the Germans would show Hammer and the AIP Poe movies regularly late night on their stations. Naturally it would be dubbed in German, but hey, in those days you couldn't be too fussy. I don't recall ever catching this one, though. And I just never got around to buy the DVD.

Rasputin, the Mad Monk looks quite stunning as for 1960s movie. Probably better PQ than Quatermass (just with few bit worse scenes). SC does great job in terms of restoration.

I've seen masters: 2.35:1 and 2.55:1. As far as I understand BD will include both of them.

Right. But how did you see them? Do you work for SC, Exclusive, Hammer, or one other company involved?
