I know I just found out they weren't renewing HTMIIA, so lame. I read though that Wahlberg is shopping it around to other places. Lets hope Showtime picks it up.

I'd have loved to see 3-5 seasons of struggling then 3+ of them on top and dealing with those problems

Episode 3 was ok. Interested to see how the "meeting" changes the show.

Yesssirrr I enjoyed it. I think this show would be even better if you could watch episodes in succession.

Those critics who said the 3rd and 4th episodes sucked need new jobs. This is why I never listen to stupid idiots who get paid to give their "opinions" about things. I think this was the second best so far if not the best; ranking by episode 1st, 4th, 3rd, 2nd.

I honestly thought this episode was great if not better than the first. If the first episode didn't have the begin outburst this would top it by a landslide. The best part was at the end when Waterston and Mac come in, I couldn't stop laughing.

Absolutely. This show is fantastic. I'm honestly trying to figure out WTH the critics were talking about.

I've only seen the first episode, and I have to say, I thought it was outstanding! The only thing that slightly bothered me was the high pitched voice of that lass....

All in all, love it

IMO, episode 2 wasn't very good but it was necessary to lay down the facts and more of a "base" to the story the way they did. Epsides 3 and 4 were awesome, especially episode 4.

Does anyone know if it's going to be renewed for another season?

The show was ok all the way up to the last 10 minutes. Then it was like a rollercoaster. Tension and suspense and then a big close. Great episode.

Not sure this is much of a spoiler, but:
[Show spoiler]I didn't care for all the relationship drama. I thought the whole Don thing of trying to deflect Maggie's feelings for Jim were hilarious ("She really should get a new ring tone") but the back-and-forth between Maggie and Jim during the Big Foot meeting was weak. I didn't care for the many dates of Will, until the end when it all came together.

They would have been better off starting at the end and then playing it so that you would be interested in how they got to that point, rather than having these seemingly unimportant scenes come together into a big finish, IMHO.

I think the problem they'll run into is meaningful filler as it seems thats what the spoiler falls into. Although what do I know

I have been away from home for work, but luckily have HBO at home and signed up for HBO Go. Watched all 4 episodes. This is easily becoming one of my favorite shows. The ending scene in the latest episode!

Good show. Once people get to know the characters over time it should be even better. I'm a news junkie anyway, so it fits like a glove. I think Jeff Daniels could have used a Gore-Tex suit in the last episode, though. He must have had more than a few showers between takes in his trailer.

Also, the recurring gun theme in the last episode that culminates with
[Show spoiler]coverage of Gabrielle Giffords getting shot in Tucson
was filled with emotion. That last scene was so sad. I really felt it all over again. You can tell Sorkin had an agenda concerning gun control in this episode. There's definitely a liberal tilt in the writing. No FOX News here

Of course it's liberal; it's Sorkin. That's the biggest problem with The Newsroom. The people who seem to like are more liberal leaning, while the people who hate it are more conservative. The reviews alone show this trend. So Sorkin's getting his message out to people that already believe his message.

Eh, I'm not much for personal politics. I like the show because it's an idealized fantasy of how a newscast should be run, without pandering to sponsors and ratings. Just pure, unfiltered truth. Having suffered through ten years of "business as usual" at a TV news station, this show is a joy to watch.
