Mine arrived today from Sainsbury's (they were a pound cheaper than Play.com or HMV and, as their retail rival is so fond of telling us, Every Little Helps...).

I'm normally ambivalent about slipcovers; but in this case, having seen the overseas copies shrouded in one, I have to say that my copy looks a bit anorexic by comparison.

Then again, the cover is blander than bland, anyway, so the package missing another print of it all is arguably a blessing. If I'd not already been aware of the character, and hadn't seen the film, I think the cover would have me marking it down at first sight as one of those third rate, Meteor Apocalypse/Supernova-type tat films that you stumble onto on the SyFy channel at 2 a.m. after a late shift at work. Note to Disney's graphic design department: Must try harder.

Watched this last night and I must say, I loved it. Maybe I went in with low expectations but we were entertained from start to finish, and have vowed to watch it again very soon.

Each to their own, but I've just sat and watched my copy for the first time and, substandard 7.1 soundtrack and a meagre 5.1 set-up or not, it sounded perfectly alright to me.

Does anyone have any in-store prices for this? I can't really justify the £20 HMV are asking, but am keen to hear what Tesco et al are charging.

Mine is on the way from Amazon.

Also, after all this "we hate Disney" for not having a slipcase on the 3D version I was nicely surprised walking into HMV today to see the 3D version does indeed have a very nice slipcover. Not lenticular like the US but a nice foil one.

So, aside from the audio snafu my Amazon pre-order at £16 for the 3D version, with a slip, and all the extras that can only be found on the Best Buy exclusive edition in the States seems like a bit of a bargain to me!

Hmmm. The dts-hd hr track is causing me problems. Very occasional sound dropouts on a Denon AVR-1911 amp connected to a slim PS3. Anyone else having any sound issues?

No HD sound?!

It's like they want it to fail even further.

Looks like a US import is in order. Why no HD audio?

So does the 3D version have more extras on the disc than the 2D version? If so that's really annoying!

Double crap.. i cant find my receipt for HMV.. i wonder will they take a printout of my bank account showing the transaction from yesterday? at best they will probably offer me store credit this is really lousy on Disney's part... i can understand somewhat if the whole world got the same release but giving the states lossless audio and us a watered down version just stinks... anyone have andrew stantons email.. i'd like to complain!

I like this movie.. and wanted to show my support for it by buying it.. but now i just feel annoyed by it..

The 3D release for sale in HMV does not.. i asked and checked all copies in the store... lesson learned for me... no more blind purchases without checking spec's thoroughly
