You went from an HD SUB10 to the XV15?? Man, are you in for a wild ride!

From the one pic it looks awfully close to the wall though. Does that port have enough room to exhale?

That's what i was planning for, and by going with PSA, i saved at least $400+... Wife commented on the size, i told her i need another for the other side, and she didn't shoot it down at all

I've got 7 1/2" clear between the back & the wall...

Will say after watching a handful of scenes from various Blu's, and watching Hunger Games with wife last nite, its a good investment Took a scene or two to actually enjoy the difference. No more boomy bass, and makes the other speakers sound better (at least thats my opinion).

Only negative to this hobby is, now i need a twin, a new avr with pre-outs, an external amp for the front stage speakers, and upgrade surrounds from mono pole to dipole speakers.....

Watched a few blu's, listened to music & radio over the weekend, and i can say i'm happy with the purchase/upgrade. Will it go low? Yes it will!! Listened to some jazz & bluegrass this weekend, and gotta love it when you hear the stand up bass chords, and as a bonus feel the couch rattle

I know i've seen people state in forums that after purchasing a quality sub, the rest of there home theater sounds better. I can honestly agree with that point now. Watched Transformers - Dark side of the moon, this evening, and honestly, i was in awe with the overall sound

Awsome, the PSA looks way bIgger then your other sub, i bet movies are much better now, i wonder how this compares to the Epik Empir

I'm still breaking the XS15 in, so I haven't pushed it yet, but I can tell you this much; it ain't afraid of playing loud. I have perhaps 4 hours on it; all 2 channel music or regular TV, no movies. Just before I shut down last night I decided to try a little extra volume. It was fine, so I tried a little more. Still no problem. And after that? Even more, and it just kept getting louder without any hint of distress.

If you're into SPL, or simply like to listen at elevated volumes, PSA might be the new champ.

Thus far I can tell you this much about the XS15...

1. The amp generates virtually no heat. If you really push it there's some warmth, but under normal everyday usage it's almost imperceptible.
2. There's more dynamic range then I anticipated. The ability to play nuanced bass is better then I thought it would be.
3. It can play loud. Actually, check that; it can play loud. If you like SPL's you'll love this sub.

For a version 1.0 product from a version 1.0 company PSA has done a wonderful job. I'm pretty impressed at this point, especially when you consider the darn thing only costs $700.

I'll say the XV15 (ported) sounds great with movies/tv/games!! Re-watched Iron Man last nite, and when he was walking out of the cave, was thunderous

For the music i've listened too, it sounds better than previous budget sub....

What's your mix of usage?

I'm about 50/50. Thunderous is ok,but I want tight and accurate also. If a ported sub just exaggerates the bass then I'd rather have a sealed one..

Well congrats!! What lost you on Epik? Communication break down?

Bout the only music i've thrown at the XV15 so far has been jazz, bluegrass, and some acoustic music, and the bass feedback has been exceptional, at least to my ears......
