Yea people spotted the missing effect not long after the set was released and I doubted they would even bother to acknowledge it let alone fix it so well done them.

Just hope the Season 2 release in December has much better QC performed lol

Darn it...The registration page is now live for collecting the Amazon.de exclusive Pins & Pin Collection Box, however, it only lists Germany, Austria and Switzerland as available countires

I really wanted to get the pin collection and box as I will be getting all 7 seasons on steelbook from Amazon.de but looks like it's not going to be possible for me over here in the UK

going to have the pins shipped to someone who helps me get steels from media markt then have him ship it to me when he has them all.

the way amazon should have handled it was have the pins just come shipped inside each steelbook then everyone who bought would get them no problem. and the pin box could have been strink wraped in with the first season.

I don't have the set, so I wouldn't know first hand but the way it is described on amazon.de's website, one pin will come with the BD set. Only the empty box housing the pins need to be ordered separately (once all seven seasons are released).

i should know in about 3 days they sent mine out with ups express to canada. was weird after the last delay i asked them nicely if they would do a free upgrade to express shipping as amazon usa has done this for me in the past. they said no in the email but they did it and the price was still standard shipping price so not sure how that happened.

You know, you might be right

I don't speak German, so had to resort to google translator, and the wording/grammar wasn't the best, but having a re-read of it, it does now sound to me like there is a pin in each of the 7 season boxes, and a code, and you just need all 7 codes to get the collectors box!

I hope so...and thanks for pointing it out.

I should know for sure in a couple of days, as my season 1 set has shipped already.

Can someone explain to me how the system of entering the codes work? If I want the pin box, do I have to enter each code from the seasons when they are released or can I enter all 7 codes when they have the pin box ready for shipping?

Well, my copy has just arrived grom Amazon.de and to say I am not happy is an understatement!!

What a stupid, stupid way to ship a steelbook!!!!....Attatch a metal pin to the outside of the steelbook.

Hmmm, what could possibly go wrong with that!!!

Well, as you can see from pictures 3 & 4 PLENTY can go wrong. The metal pin attached to the box has caused a major dent, right in the front. Crazy Amazon, just crazy

And to top it all, it also has a major scratch on the front, just below the Star Trek title







Well, this copy is going back, but if they have these pins on the front of all of their copies, I can't see how a replacement is going to fare any better.

I just hope all you other guys who ordered a copy have better luck than me!!

Man, I that sucks. Sorry to hear. I hope they fix the whole situation for everyone. I I ordered one of these as well, and so I'm interested to hear if other people got a damaged steelbook.

wow, no words for how moronic that decision was--to attach the pin to the outside of the actual steelbook.
the people that make these type of decisions just don't understand the collector mentality.

thats pretty stupid they could have put the pin inside the case. mine should be here in a few hours hope its not wrecked to.

mabey if u call and speak to amazon on the phone mabey they can get the shipping center to open the steelbook and put it inside the case before shipping it.

KevinM - thanks so much for the pics and letting us know. I am so upset right now and I haven't even received mine. I think you should email Amazon.de and show them the pics and explain that this is unacceptable. If mine comes that way I will be doing the same thing!

ups guy just bought me mine same deal theres a dint and a chip of paint missing were the pint was jamped on top of the steelbook.

mine don't have the srach like kevens does but the dint is in the very same spot from the pin.

amazon is sending me a replacement but i doubt its going to be any better if the pint is sealed to the top of the case.

if it comes damaged again we will probly have to take this up with paramount becuase i'm assuming they are the ones sealing the pins to the cases i assume.

amazon pulled it from sale. i wonder what they will do. tbh even if they remove the pin before shipping i'm bettering all there stock is probly ruined if they came that way from the factoy.

you could always just compose the email inside the google translate box, then cut/paste the German translation into the email.
