They Live is definitely not a "so bad it's good" movie. And this is coming from a guy who has Troll 2, The Wicker Man and generally loves those types of movies. It's a shame that it has obtained this rep due to how outlandish the story is. It's a good movie... With good acting, especially for a guy who isn't a Hollywood superstar, interesting story and a great soundtrack. I love the cinematography as well with some beautiful evening and night time shots of the L.A. skyline and I always love to see that wide crane shot of Roddy entering the back alley while carrying the box with the glasses.

The final battle could've been a little less "First Blood Part II" and a little more "Fist Blood", but overall it's still a good movie with a positive message.

Well, he was in three other films around the same time: Overboard, Tequila Sunrise, and Tango & Cash. Probably a scheduling conflict.

Yeah, that makes sense. Too bad Russell wasted his time with T&C and TS. Overboard is a guilty pleasure for me.

I will be picking this up Day 1 I have not seen this film in quite some time I do wish it would have been out for the Halloween season but November is better than not getting a blu-ray release at all. I am loving Shout Factory lately between releasing lots of 90's Nicktoons and shows and now releasing all these great horror films on blu they are one of my favorite companies now

Day 1 for me as well as long as its reasonably priced (10-15 range).

Here is hoping some other Carpenter movies make their way via bluray and that shout factory can do a fair job on this and it not an Echo Bridge quality dept.

I would love to see Prince of Darkness or Mouth of Madness on blu.

Hoping they dont use the Studio Canal transfer as used on the Italian Bluray which is cropped to 2.20:1 except for the credits which are in the correct aspect ratio and which was also used for the european dvd. The Hdnet showing used the Universal print which is in the correct aspect ratio of 2.35:1 but unfortunately Hdnet used their grain filter dial at 10 and dnr'ed it to oblivion.

Tango and Cash is one of the most entertaining films ever made! At least once a week I look in the mirror and sneer a la Jack Palance, "Ray Tango...Gabriel Casssh..."
