I have not seen the movie so I can't tell you for certain, but here's my take:

There are only 3 certainties in life:
1) Death
2) Taxes
3) Pixar

There isn't a bad Pixar title in creation. I see no reason this won't follow suit.
Again, that's just me.

Do you guys think the regular version will have all the same special features as the 3D version? It seems like it because it says 2 blurays and 1 dvd.

I blind bought Cars, and really liked it. I was shocked considering I intentionally avoided it for years. That being said, I still haven't seen Cars 2, and won't blind buy it due to the poor reception it received. I'm sure it'll be in cable eventually. As for Brave, I'm on vacation and just couldn't make it. Not enough time to go see every big release. But I definitely will be blind buying Brave on day one.

And after typing all of that, I forgot my point.

LOL! That is pretty much 92% of my posts!

Yeah Pixar titles on BD are really, close to, if not the benchmark IMO. Now obviously I would have to cede to Criterion, but if you think about the overall package of a Pixar BD, they are pretty solid all the way around:

1) Story - Is usually pretty good, to include the voice actors
2) Animation - Really, do I need to address that?
3) Content - Disney never skimps on their extras
4) Packaging - Next to Criterion, all these Pixar BD w/slips look pretty damn impressive
5) Replay value - All being family films, the replay value is quite high
6) Collectibility - I would wager come December there will be quite a few 'complete' Pixar collections in this forum

Agreed. Disney is the best BD producing studio to me. Only thing giving them a clear advantage over Criterion being their appeal is so much wider.

Since the movie takes place in ancient scotland it makes the 3D makes the picture very dark. It's now pop of the screen but it's not we just want extra sales 3D either

That's not bad, the picture brightness being so dark worries me tho, that is my biggest problem with some 3D movies, it makes some of them unwatchable.

Brave was the first time I really ever noticed how much darker a film really is in 3D. It shouldnt bother you, just the parts

pre-ordered the 3D just in case I decide to switch to 3D. I'm currently trying to figure out if I should make the switch, or stick with 2D. Either way, it'll be a day 1 purchase

Just purchased the 5 disc set. Thanks Blu-ray.com for the heads up!

I've never regretted a Pixar set. They're worth every penny.

You'll get the 2d still, just in 3D packaging

I'm sure he knows that. He meant his HT.

I went ahead and pre-ordered the 2D set from DD for $12.59. Wanted to lock in that great price, and I can always cancel if I no longer need it from them.

Anyone know if the 2-disc set will have the extras? I'm gonna be livid if I have to fork over another $10-$15 bucks just to get them, and be stuck with three discs I WILL NEVER WATCH.

The 2D set has three discs. The movie disc, the extras disc, and the share with friends and family but useless to you disc.

And if that isn't clear enough, two BDs and a DVD.
