Voyager was the only Star Trek show where I decided I was wasting my time with such bland, repetitive garbage and quit watching despite having invested a few seasons into it. I also did the same thing with CSI: Miami and Smallville where I felt like I had to save what remaining brain cells I had left after watching them.

Came back to watch the Voyager finale and boy what a whimper.

I thought the "Voyager" finale totally rocked. I didn't even watch the rest of the show.

Seasons 1 and 2 of ENTERPRISE are a bit VOYAGER-ish, but 3 and especially 4 are among the best STAR TREK ever produced. Breaks my heart to this day that ENTERPRISE was shot down just when it had finally taken beautiful flight.

Agreed. Well, if Enterprise Season 1 and 2 were Voyager-ish then I won't be disappointed since I also enjoyed that stuff.

Just wondering which characters you like best from each series as well?.

Enterprise - Archer & T'Pol
TOS - Kirk & Spock
TNG - Picard & Worf
DS9 - Sisko & Odo

Anyone else a fan?.
I'm a big fan - started off with Next Generation back during its original run. It was the only series that I had watched all of the episodes. I had seen a handful of the original series, DS9 and Voyager as well as all of the films. In the end I always just went back to the Next Generation.

Well with that said I'm doing something very much like you are doing except I am watching them in series order. On August 29th of last year I started off with the pilot of the original series. Since than I have only had one day without watching at least one episode (September 2 of last year). To date I have watched the Original Series, Animated Series, Original Films, Next Generation, Next Generation Films, DS9, and I'm currently in season six of Voyager. When I think about I must be pretty mental but I've had fun with this. I figure I should be done sometime in September or October. The wife and kids just laugh at me when I sit down to watch an episode - though most of the time they are all in bed by the time I get around to watching.

To this point I have to say DS9 has been my favorite. I have liked all the series to this point and have been pleasently surprised by Voyager (read many negative things about it).

I don't need the Metallica by any means, but I'm a big fan of the first part of your sentence.

Oh, like we need MORE T'Pol and/or Dax fanservice porn!
The shows clearly weren't giving us enough...

I'm trying to figure out which Captain is #1 right now. I really cannot chose one over the other.

Yes. T-Pol with Jadzia (or Ezri) would make for a great evening.

I would prefer Ezri and Jadia Daxing it out.

Favorite characters:

TOS: Bones, Kirk, Spock
TNG: Data, Riker
DS9: Sisko, Worf, Odo
VOY: None. Not 100% sure I have ever watched an entire episode, mainly because I find all of the characters mind-numbingly boring
ENT: Archer, Phlox
NuTrek: Bones, Scotty

Arriving toward the end of season 6 in Voyager, it blows my mind that Harry never had a real moment to shine and never in almost 6 years had the chance to get a field promotion beyond Ensign.

That's just ... sad. And so little growth in the character too...

This being said, at least, he didn't get demoted from Lieutenant to Ensign like Tom ...

This could be said for pretty much every character apart from the Doctor and Seven of Nine.

Easy on the DS9 season 2-Voyager Season 7 + the last 3 TNG movie Spoilers.

I grew up on the original run of "TNG", and had a brief crush on Terry Farrell during the early days of "DS9"...but otherwise, I didn't watch it often. I liked "Voyager" for the most part, but "Enterprise" just felt too fanciful and advanced for a prequel series.

I really loved the entire cast from "Next Gen", but some in "Voayger" felt a little underused. I was really disappointed that Harry Kim was killed, and the one who finally made it home was an alternate-dimension clone. Also, I thought Seven of Nine was smartly written, but it was (and still is) very difficult to appreciate that, when she was dressed in a skintight bodysuit for most of her appearances. I'm trying to actually pay attention to the story, when Jessica Rabbit suddenly walks on-screen; it was stressing, to say the very least.
