According to the BBFC it was passed with no cuts made and the running time is down as 101m 54s.

http://www.bbfc.co.uk/releases/samsara

Oddly enough there was another version submitted a few months ago though (cinema release most probably) at a longer runtime of 102m 10s

http://www.bbfc.co.uk/releases/samsara-2012-1

So not exactly sure now

Thanks for the reply!

How annoying though - will try to find the US running time I guess. I reckon it should be ok though, based on that info.

I see no reason why it would be cut or anything.

Ah, but if you see the two different releases one is it's theatrical showing and one is video, (a 16 second difference at most) I suspect they're just technical differences.

The difference in time could be something as simple as a distributor title card that was on the theatrical one not being on the home video version, something like that - on the BBFC post they go into detail about the various shots that caused it to be a 12A but don't mention censoring them and it does say that it was passed uncut.

Yeah looks fine, good to hear - I was fearing they may have cut some of the 'apparent' graphic scenes (I haven't seen it yet).

As they seem to have missed the errors with Baraka, i think we should take the review very lightly for the moment.

Was going to order the Samsara / Baraka double pack from Amazon.uk, as £17 shipped to Canada is a great price. Unfortunately for us on this side of the pond without Region free players, I've confirmed with Arrow Films that both films are indeed Region B locked.

Mine is dispatching from amazon.co.uk now - was hoping I'd receive the Koyaanisqatsi trilogy before Samsara left, damn B&Noble are slow with postage!!

Looking forward to receiving the double pack tomorrow. Can't believe it is £17 on Amazon. Bloody bargain.
