States 1080p on Umbrella's site and they are one of the few that actually put accurate specs for their listings (or even bother to list specs at all). I'm sure someone with the disc will confirm but it's a good sign:

Argh, why hasn't my order moved to 'Shipped' yet.. going out of my mind waiting for some more Dario Argento. I haven't been this excited for a Blu-Ray in ages.

About the same level of excitement as watching the DVD release of Suspiria for the first time (if you can remember the time).

Hi guys, I registered with this forum to ask the above question! Can anyone confirm this is a better/different transfer to the UK version? The UK version had a problem with overblown contrast and reds coming accross as pink. I'm coming to the lovely Oz in a few weeks and would love to be able to pick a copy up while I'm there.

Complete specs have been posted here.

It doesn't say anything about the colours, though.

I received it in the mail today, so I couldn't wait to play it to see for myself.

Unfortunately, the colour issues are still there. So basically, it still looks more or less the same as the UK and Italian releases.

http://whiggles.landofwhimsy.com/arc...vandalism.html

I can't say for sure whether these new oversaturated, contrasty, hyper-realistic colours in the blu-ray releases are supposed to be how it's supposed to look, but they certainly are annoying. (I prefer the tamer, more realistic colours of the R1 releases.)

Aggravation Noted.

It still has the overblown contrast, pinkish tones and yellow madness.

Someone out there actually made a Fan Edition which has the "correct" colours: http://fanedit.org/ifdb/component/co...served-edition

Awesome!
Question is, how do I get a copy? Does it require a donation? I will go bootleg at this point, now knowing it probably won't be until the remake is made that Miramax re-releases this, and even then it isn't a guarantee.
I must have the fan-made bootleg.

I checked my R1 Blue Underground DVD, and the colour tones are the same as the blu-ray (except darker and with less contrast).

Unfortunately, none of those download links appeared to have the approximate 13GB files, just little 19kb RARs of unreadable files.

They're DLCs, you'll need a download manager i.e: JDownloader to hook then in.

Hold the freaking phone.. is the Australian Blu-Ray really like those snapshots? its ****ing hideous! I thought Umbrella said the high contrasting was not on their edition.

I need a real comparison shot between the Aussie, UK and other.

I shall confirm that the Australian release has the same colour timing / transfer as the Japanese release -- No overblown contrast, but still not a desirable transfer, though.
