Same here. I am not a big Colin Farrell fan either after Phone Booth and Alexander, which were both downright awful.

Colin Farrell's miscasting in 'Alexander' is the least of that film's problems. He's been great in a lot of movies, and I've been a fan since seeing "In Bruges".

This was an above average action movie imo, that was burdened with the weight of competing against the previous adaptation of Philip K. Dick's short story. Personally, I like the tone and style of this one better.

Not even close. Total Recall (2012) was generic crap, yes, but in no way did it approach the staggering incompetence of such cinematic debacles as That's My Boy, The Apparition, Hit and Run, Darling Companion, The Watch, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, The Babymakers, etc.

I'm avoiding this on general principles. Looks stunningly bland and generic, lacking the charisma and gallows humor of the Arnie original.

I think 12/31 in the UK, but no othe country has announced their date yet.
I'm thinking early to mid December for the US.

Since it tanked at the domestic box office, I'm guessing Sony will want to dump this before Black Friday. December will probably have bigger/higher profile releases, and TR would likely get lost in the shuffle.

Day 1 for me. If this movie had been released before Arnolds you haters would be all over it. Pure sci-fi here and plus Kate's in it.

What do you guys think about the film?
Is it as good as the first one?

The trailer looks really good , but some reviews are on edge.

It's dull, humorless, plastic POS.

I wanted to leave at a certain point, as I was falling asleep.

Bryan Cranston's wig sums the whole thing up:
Unnecessary and unconvincing.

Each to their own . I enjoyed it. I watched the original the night before seeing the new remake and the original hasnt really aged to well. Its still good but a bit cheesy now. Its really the violence, blood and sfx that make it memorable. I was happy to accept the remake on its own merits and i enjoyed it for that. Has some neat throwbacks to the original.

And the lens flare. Jesus, the lens flare. I usually laugh when people bring it up in regards to Super-8, etc, but it was a tad over done here, IMO.

Total Recall is available for pre-order already, only after 3 weeks from its theatrical release? It must have bombed big time at the box office.

Pre-orders this early has nothing to do with it's box office performance. Case in point, Ted was up for pre-order the same week it was released (maybe even prior) and it did extremely well.

I'll be picking this up, it was very entertaining

Yes there have been numerous films that have been successful at the box office that have been available for pre0order this this year at the start of their cinema run. I think Brave actually appeared on pre-order before it even started it cinemas. As was the case for Finding Nemo 3D.
