I was really quite surprised with how well-written and clever this movie is, so I'll be picking it up (in 3D) for sure today.

Looking for feedback from the group here. The Toys-R-Us Sunday flyer shows a Blu-ray + DVD + Digital copy for $19.99. I went in to Wal-Mart today for price matching and noted that every copy they stocked had the version adding what I assume is a 4th disc labeled "Ultraviolet" (Blu-ray + DVD + Digital copy + Ultraviolet). Of course, after examining my ad like it was a death pact agreement, my helpful salesperson declared that their 2D Blu-ray version was not the same as the Toys-R-Us version, so no price match. My question is, are there in fact two different 2D versions out there, one with 3 discs, and the other with 4? I think I am most frustrated because all I want is the damn Blu-ray!!! AARRGGG!!

I LOVED Paranorman. I laughed and LOVED the spoof of other horror movies they did.

Once I rented it from Redbox, I was ready to buy the bluray which I had seen in Walmart. But when I went to get it, after only being released for about 3 weeks, they had NO copies of it on blueray, and NO SPOT for it anywhere on the shelf. They only had DVD's.

I went to ANOTHER Walmart and the same exact thing in their store. No blurays.

So I broke own and went to K Mart (I HATE K Mart). Again, NO BLURAYS.

I don't have any other stores in my town, we are a small town. So I had to order it from Amazon....but I wonder why I can't find this anywhere on bluray?

I know this is an old post but I had a hard time finding it too. I rented it first too, had to have it. I went to BBY, Target, Walmart, nothing. Finally ordered it from Bestbuy.com. I wonder why there seems to be a limited # of copies.

Can anyone tell me if this is worth a blind buy or should I rent it first?

It's a very well-made, well written, nicely animated movie with a great blu-ray. Blind buy!

EDIT: Though I am much too late.

This movie is fantastic—real genuinely exciting, funny, and heartwarming, and IMO a treat for horror fans. Expecting a solid BD transfer and can't wait to hold it in my hands.

Day 1 buy for me, but I'll almost definitely be purchasing the American version. I think this is one of the titles that Alliance will probably distribute on Blu-Ray and DVD for Canada, and rather than the cool-looking lenticular covers that most 3-D Blu-Rays get, they usually try to do something "unique" that ends up just being an irritant.

I wish someone did a Steelbook for it, the artwork would just look amazing on a steel.

They also come with the 3D version. I picked it up yesterday from Target and had them for both 2D/3D.

Well since some stores only had them on one or the other, I am guessing that some store might not have gotten them at all or they were very limited and gone by the time I got to my local store. I'm really annoyed that this was not cheaper at release, but at least with the mini posters it feels like a good deal that I was willing to pick up right away. I guess if I can't find these I will just hold out for a better price on the standard release down the line.

Thanks for posting the picture (to make me want these even more) and the additional details about the size. I'm not really sure how I was supposed to judge size from your picture though. Without a standard blu-ray case in the picture or something else to use as a reference, how would I know the size?
