honestly i don't care who releases it as long as they do a great job... if TT does happen to release it i would still buy it for $30... i get so many blu's for cheap that it's ok to pay a little extra for one every now and then

+1, this is exactly how I feel as well, you will not get cheapies all the time, once in a while we are just going to have to pay for something.

It was just a title I threw out there because it's a Sony film.

Hopefully this release will at least port over the existing extras. The commentary with Carpenter and Keith Gordon is excellent, as are the featurettes.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't understand this concept of "I'm not gonna pay $30 for a catalog title", which tends to imply you don't have the same problem paying $30 for a new release movie. Some of these titles may be "catalog" titles, but this is their first release on blu and some never even had DVD releases. Most of those new release titles you will pay $30 for will be released several more times and end up as low as $7.99 or $9.99, but these "catalog" titles may never see another release again. A movie is a movie, whether it is 3 months old or 3 decades old, and if it is one I want to own, I'll pay for it, plain and simple. To each his own...

I might buy this, but only if they include "Bad to the Bone" as part of the Isolated Score track...

I'll definitely be picking this up but it certainly falls into a very underwhelming light for me. Coming off the high of all the Scream Factory news, seeing that "Christine" will roll out for double the price with more than likely no extras just bums me out. I really hope they consider porting over some features for this disc but I'm not holding my breath for it.

Anybody else think Twilight Time's bread and butter will become mainly horror titles? I do, with these movies selling the way they are, TT will go where the money is. And the money is in horror, apparently. Quick, somebody make a list of everything horror Sony owns post-1980!

Yeah, horror and sci-fi films are going to pay the bills at TT.

Same here. I really wish studios would stop doing deals with TT, they're horrible.

Not everyone is swimming in cash. We have to make choices beased upon what money we have. The one or two TT titles you or I may want are only a small fraction of all the movies we would like to own, so something has to give somewhere. And charging $30 for bare-bones releases is about as greedy as a BR seller can get. This is the only reason TT does the limited release thing. If they asked $30 for bare-bone titles with no limits on their production, everyone would cry foul at the poor releases and nobody would buy. So they chum the waters and offer up one piece of meat for everybody to feed off of, knowing they will sell their titles out with minimal effort on their end. It's crap.

Yeah, and it probably won't even have a commentary either--one of the best features that come with a JC movie.

Oh thnx for the credit there

I read somewhere else on there that this would be released before October, as they actually don't have Octobers titles picked out yet. Sooner the better

Hell yeah.

The Bride would also make a great choice, IMO. If they wanted to get Christine out earlier.
