Most likely Germany will get it first as a digibook. They did the same thing with Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, and released it not too long after the initial release. Other territories should follow after that.

This is pretty much a shoe-in for the worlwide steelbook treatment. WB has released the first 2 films in steelbook across every major territory already. They'll be certain to ensure they all get the chance at completing the set.

I'm not saying they will all be the same. I'm just saying that the metal case itself is almost guaranteed everywhere. Artwork may very well vary, which would be nice to have options about. I like the artwork for this one, but it doesn't excite me like the previous steelbook artworks have. I'll take this artwork if it's the only option though. I'd like to see something with Batman himself on the cover and not just his broken mask. Maybe have him in a "beaten down" position on his knee(s) looking up with a sense of overcoming his obstacles on his face?

And then I said; Whyyy sooo expensivah?! >: D

I mean seriously... Nearly 30 Euros for a BD in a SteelBook (when new)?
Way to overprice just because the movie is so popular. It doesn't justify it.

I like the artwork though. Pretty nice. But as said above, I'm also wondering what there will be from other countries or stores.

you can say over 30€, since you have to pay shipping costs (unless you live in Germany, of course)

btw i'll wait UK release

Guess I'm kinda lucky when you look at it in that way. I live in The Netherlands and they also ship for free to here if an order is over, I think, 20 Euros.
To think you only need to buy one Blu-ray to reach that amount is kind of ridiculous though.
But yes, I'll see what the UK has, or even the US.

In all honestly, I don't need some big ridiculous set, unless it has spectacular or interesting enough content.
I'd settle for a SteelBook or any other special packaging, just cause the movie, being part of its trilogy, does deserve a little something special.
Would be cool if they'd include picture-prints or something. Along the lines of the US 'Batman Begins' "Limited Edition Gift Set".
Heck, even a set just like that, but also easily available to the EU-region would be great.

We had that in the UK as well. I had it - it was nice, thought the cardboard box it came in was flimsy and bulky, ended up chucking it away.

Hm, maybe by the time I'd bought it, the UK-version wasn't available anymore then.
I know what you mean about the box, could've been even slightly thicker to save it and a bit of a better design overall.
But those "Gift Sets" are usually not meant to be very "Deluxe", although they can be just fantastic as well.
The thought was nice, the sort of "cave design"-window with the lenticular card behind it kinda worked.

It would be cool if they'd design a box-set for this movie, with space left over to put your BDs of the previous two movies into.
Just an idea. But again, a smaller set with some interesting swag included would be cool.
And THEN I'd give my 30 Euros, not for just a SteelBook, I'm sorry...

Hoping Best Buy gets something like this.

Although I have recently saw TDK White Japan Steelbook. Man it looks good. Maybe someone will do a group buy for TDKR
