The only home video version to go through the BBFC as of right now is the '15' rated cut.

The '15' rated version IS the uncut version... it states on the BBFC's site that this version has the scenes added back in that were cut from the theatrical '12A' version.

So if both versions have now been rated they might release them together, as I don't think they would have to re-submit the theatrical version... would they?

Yeah, they usually have to submit both. 12A isn't a video rating - and like I said, the only video version on the site right now is the uncut 15 rated one.

Ok... I thought that it would just transfer from 12A to 12.

I only want the uncut version. Don't fancy a watered down 12

Main reason I never went to see it in the Cinema. I get the whole lower age rating = more potential tickets but I honestly don't know anyone below the age of 16 that has the slightest intrest in this type of film.

Should have just released the film as a 15.

Yeah, but, as admiral_akbar said, that is the uncut version I was alluding to. That includes all the scenes that were taken out of the theatrical cut to make it a watered down 12A.

12A just corresponds to a 12 in the home media market. They just move it across.

Yeah, again that's why I mentioned it was the only home video rated version.

But the BBFC site usually lists a separate '12' rated version under "Type of Media: Video", as shown by looking under the 'Related work - Feature' section on these pages.

It has to be viewed again by the BBFC as at home you can pause shots, rewind, watch repeatedly etc, compared to the cinema which is one continuous view. Therefore the BBFC can demand cuts for home viewing which did. Not apply at the cinema. These days this is rare but go back 10+ years and it was very common.

No probs buddy. I also think there's some issue with submissions at different lengths - so for anything that goes to PAL DVD, the speed-up effect means it gets re-certified at its new (technically shorter) running time.

I feel like the design could be a lot better, that doesn't look very good.

That said, I'll have to get it if another one doesn't show up to attempt to match my Play.com steel for Taken.

I quite like the look of that matches up pretty well with the play.com version so they should look pretty good next to each other on the shelf

What is the demand for this? Any idea? I'd prefer not to pre-order this one. I want to just walk into HMV and buy a copy if I like the art.
