I'm no fan of them either but a NSNA release would sell-out pretty quick! Hopefully we'll get a region free release in the UK.

Blu-rays should be available to everyone, not turned into an expensive collector's market like TT has turned it into. BAH! HUMBUG!

Says who? And how specifically did TT suddenly turn the home video market into a collector's market after 30 years? They have nothing to do with anything.

That's the 1954 Climax! episode which is an adaptation of Casino Royale, with Barry Nelson, and Peter Lorre as Le Chiffre. It's pretty bad, although there a few worse Bond films out there. And, yes, he does go by Jimmy.

The 1967 parody film, on the other hand, is an absolutely insane piece of comedic genius, with not just one, but several characters called "James Bond." The "real" Bond is played by David Niven, but several other characters take the name at certain points. Also, Peter Sellers, Woody Allen, Orson Welles, Ursula Andress, and many more people are in it!

I was very, very lucky to pick up "Never Say Never Again" on Blu-ray right after it went out of print and the prices were at $30-40 dollars. For whatever reason Walmart still had them on line for something like $12-15 dollars for the Blu-ray/DVD combo pack when no one else did. I really hate Walmart and almost never buy anything there but I made an exception in this rare case.

All that having been said I'd like to see it back in print so that every Bond fan who wants copy can get it easily without paying a small fortune.

There's still this one, for those who can't find it.
Never Say Never Again Blu-ray
That's the one I have. It's not cheap, but available.

Definitley should be reissued for those that want it. However it will never be included in a set with the others. Huge Bond fans would know why, as well as the fact that it is a remake of a largely superior film.

Wouldn't anyone know why? It's a case of it not being an official, EON-produced film. I may be a huge Bond fan myself, but I don't think I would need to be one to know that.

And yes, Thunderball is much better. In fact, Thunderball is my sixth favorite Bond film! (for the record, it is following License to Kill, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Dr. No, The Living Daylights and Goldfinger)

Although I agree it would be nice to have, just to have them on all on Blu (the 1967 Casino Royale is readily available, although I can't say if the 1954 one is).

Wow, had no idea it was OOP. I picked up the Canadian combo just last year for $4.99 at Future Shop. I'd sell it but can't be bothered.

okay smart-mouth you don't have to be a huge Bond fan to know that it was not produced by Eon.

It is just that I see a lot of people wondering why Never Say Never is not part of the rest of them, so I figure not a lot of people know that it was made by different people.

Oh, fair enough. I didn't realize that. Looks like I was in the wrong.

Default Why is Never Say Never Again so expensive!

Can anybody tell me why Never Say Never Again is selling for such ridiculous prices? I have it brand new still sealed and I can't believe what some are trying to sell it for!

I realize it wasn't included in the Bond 50 set, but surely that can't be the ONLY reason it's so expensive.

It's out of production... Many sellers are out of stock, so it's rare.

I can't believe I got that for $5 last year. For once, I've got lucky (that's rare too...).

it's out of print that's why. I found out I had doubles when I picked it up at a pawn shop and sold my second copy for $70

So nobody will have to watch that POS. Watch the original Thunderball, instead.

Yeah I figured it was OOP, but I haven't seen any blus that are OOP go for that much! It's funny too because I only paid like $7 or $8 for it.

Happens more than you'd think, but the market is fickle... so sell while you can if you're considering it! For example, Zodiac is getting a re-release next month, so prices are likely to drop again.
