My gf and I were going to watch this on AT&T Uverse with a free movie coupon code....but I'm leaning towards buying it, we both love HTTYD and while she liked Megamind, I loved it....So hearing good comparisons like that push me towards buying.

I watched this movie recently and I must say it's a solid 7 or 8 out of 10. It has its weaknesses but it also gets personal and really addresses character and differences between individuals and the nature of hope and fear. Its strengths far outweigh its weaknesses.

i keep hearing great things about this one, i missed it though, as a 27yr old, would i like it? or is it geared more towards young kids, i enjoy animated movies from Pixar

Yes, it has a similar vibe to other Dreamworks and Pixar titles. It may not be Kung Fu Panda or Wall-E, but it is still highly enjoyable.

I liked it - if you enjoy animated films from Dreamworks, Pixar, etc. you should like it.

oh wow thats weird, did they sell out? i just ordered the hopping egg version yesterday it was in stock, now it has that "sign up to be notified"

They have stopped production on the set with the two hopping eggs due to a defect with the winder used to wind up the eggs. All retailers including on-line are to return their stock for a replacement within a couple weeks. Those that received there's before the recall are the lucky ones but Paramount will be putting up a link on their site for free replacements of the eggs. A source at Paramount has stated the the wind-up piece pops out very easily and can be a chocking hazard. More info to follow when he announces this info on Monday March 11, 2013 (1 day before the official release). This is the news I got when I asked a good source of mine at Paramount Distributing. Not sure if that includes the Canadian stores

wow this movie cant catch a break, first it doesnt do as well as expected at the box office, and now this.

im assuming though that people who placed order for the hopping egg edition before the recall will still receive it? my order with amazon still stands right now, they havent cancelled it or advised me of any issues
