From my research the HD DVD did not have DTS-HD. It had the same codec as the DVD. DTS 5.1 and 2.0 PCM.

From this review:

The Audio: Rating the Sound

Finally we arrive at the single most important aspect of a concert presented in high-def -- the audio quality. 'Eagles Farewell Tour I' on HD DVD offers both a DTS 5.1 track and an uncompressed PCM stereo mix, but unfortunately both are a bit less than perfect. The stereo track has a much fuller sound (particuarly in the accompanying band and the resonating guitar solos), but pulls away any concert ambience, making it sound like a high quality audio CD rather a live show. On the opposite side of the coin, the DTS surround mix is more immersive and convincing, but has less of an impact when it comes to the music itself.

That's not the Eagles ... instead they should be called Don Henley and His Only Friends

Don Henley is the spawn of Satan

This is just a lazy review. It has DTS-HDMA 24bit/48Hz 5.1 audio.

The case on my HD-DVD lists the tracks as DTS 5.1 and PCM 2.0 so it doesn't say anything about DTS-HD MA, but maybe it really is and it's just not listed as that. Regardless, I think it's a pretty safe bet the Blu is going to sound AMAZING!

Smile Concert Review

I went to see the Eagles in Atlantic City 3 days before Live in Melbourne was made. This is a stellar concert, I have it on HDDVD as well. Even the jokes made at the show were the same as on my HDDVD. Great sound presence, but rates about 8.9 sound quality vrs Hell Freezes Over at 10.0 IMO.
My last HDDVD, except for an autographed copy of Chicago and Earth Wind and Fire.

Not to sound to strange but does anyone what exactly is the logo for the Eagles?
BTW BB has the release date as 2/26/13. I have a few gift cards I may use on this, we'll see.

I watched my HD DVD last night and it reminded me the video quality is outstanding. One of the best pictures of a concert, similar to The Police, Certifiable Live BD, no film grain whatsoever, maybe shot with HDTV cameras? Sound is very good too. My player and amp both show as DTS-HDMA 5.1 48kHz. Would be nice if the BD gets 96kHz treatment!

I believe some early HD-DVD players could not recognise DTS HD without a firmware upgrade, based on threads found elsewhere.

Correct,my player also indicates DTS-HDMA 24bit/48Hz 5.1 audio.

Sounds awesome, nothing to be gained on bluray other than updating.

Great price though.

They often use an eagle skull like this:

The logo on the cover for this particular release is an outline of parts of the skull.

I finished watching (dvr'd earlier today), "History of the EAGLES", which was only 3 hours long...!! (3:05 to be exact). But, it was a Tremendous freakin' Documentary on the band, & NO Stones were left unturned. ALL the Good, Bad, & Ugly were included in this brand new documentary feature on the band. I hope it comes out on BD soon. It was on Showtime, so if you have that channel, look out for it. If not, trust me, get it on Blu' when it comes out, and/or the price is right. Excellent documentary!!

* As for your question, I looked all over Amazon & nothing "yet." But I'd be Very surprised if it doesn't come out in a few months. You know Glenn Frey & Don Henley. They NEVER miss a chance to make a buck *

I hope this gets a release soon. I've been wanting to see it. Glad to hear that it's worth watching.
