Similar at times, if you see it you'll see what I mean. I think May is better?
Just don't expect a doll in Crush, just the part about the crush and her obsession.

Not to disappoint you but there is no comparison with this movie and May. May is a very extraordinary exceptional movie. May is one movie I am badly waiting to come out on blu.

There were a few scenes that reminded me a lot of May.
Like

One of my most-wanted Blu-rays. I had gotten excited that we might see one in the near future after Lionsgate released that batch of indie/cult films that included High Tension, Secretary, and Hard Candy. Sure those were a bit more successful but I think May has gotten a nice cult following of its own.


Anyway, onto Crush. I see the comparison with May for sure, but it's really more comparable to something like Swimfan, IMO.

If you see this movie expecting it to be a fairly by-the-numbers teen stalker thriller and are ok with that then I don't see why one wouldn't enjoy it. I found it surprisingly enjoyable. It looks really polished and could have easily been one of those PG-13 thrillers released theatrically by Screen Gems. I give it credit for having a mystery element to it that helps keep things interesting.

All in all I thought it was a solid flick. Gets a "B" from me.

I felt the same way.

This actually looks pretty decent. Definitely worth a look. And the lead actress (Crystal Reed?) looks adorably awkward. Just way too cute.

Yeah, I saw it for $9.99 at Target. No slipcover, but that's still a pretty decent deal. I might go back and pick it up.

lmfao the artwork is terrible so I'm not sure what a slipcover could've done. Millennium did a slip for So Undercover though so I don't know why they didn't do one for this.
