I just got the Iria - Zeiram DVD release in the Tin a few months ago... haven't watched it yet.

Isn't the uncut version 52 mins? I made the assumption they were rounding down (though they could just be rounding up as well lol).

edit: ok, maybe not. Kite Uncut is listed elsewhere as 60 minutes, so yeah...the BD looks to be edited version despite the runtime discrepancy between cut&uncut.

I believe there are three versions. Thers the cut version, the graphic version with the questionable age seen cut and then the fully uncut version. It looks like it is being released under the anime works brand so, I would guess the cut version.

Iria is great btw.

Wikipedia says the uncensored (Kite Remastered) version is actually 60 minutes... original Japanese was two 30 minute OVA. On Amazon, the back cover of Kite: Uncut says "approx 60 min". I have a fansub of the Directors cut, and it is 51:05 minutes... There are evidently 3 US versions of the movie, but all 3 have some amount of censorship in them over the original...

OK, just go to movie-censorship.com (with the dash) and search for kite, and you can actually see what was censured in the different versions - some 1/2 second scenes cut, and some scenes are replaced with non-graphic scenes. Not linking to that page!

Was happy to hear the news that this is finally back on the plate. I too would be more willing to buy the super uncut version though. Will mull this one over for sure.

And in typical Media Boasters fashion we will never have these titles in our hands and if we do it wont be until sometime next year.

^ Until I get it in my hands, I won't believe it is out. Too long Media Blasters has pushed it back and back and back.

I would prefer uncut just so there is no censoring, but if the price is right I would buy this cut version in hopes that an uncut would be released later.

I just hope to get it. Then someone needs to release KITE Liberator as well.

So judging by Media Blasters track record we should see this sometime around July of next year if not later.
