SIMILARLY PRICED?!??!
lololololol

Jack reacher is 20 Euros in the Netherlands
which is less than 17 gbp!

They charged you 28.99 in the UK?

Price difference of 11 to 12 GBP !!! You call that similar? xD

With shipping inside The Netherlands yes. If you want it shipping to the UK the only option is this site:

http://movies-blu-ray.nl/index.php?i...d=2648&lang=EN

And the price is 24.99 Euros plus postage. My point is that if you want a Jack Reacher Steelbook shipped to the UK, it will cost similar to the Entertainment Store version. If you and certain others don't want to believe that, that is fine, but that is the case. Not quite the rip off it first seems is it?

I thought this thread was about Aladdin, not some Jack guy and how much it costs for two hours with him.

I don't care about shipping.
I care about the fact that the exact same steelbooks costs 11-12 GBP less in the Netherlands, a smaller country than the UK.

So why can't it be 17 GBP in the UK?

Because it is a ripoff in the UK. It is definitely not a ripoff here, our retailers don't want to overcharge us for steelbooks .

Ontopic, I will (probably) have one copy for sale, but I think I would prefer a trade once the release dust settles... How do you guys trade, I don't want to send it and end up scammed without the other party sending me in return?

Simple, trade with a member with 100% feedback.

not so sure about that, both are Disney titles and there were only 3,000 Rogers while there will be 5,000 Aladdin's

I wish I picked up a second Roger

Roger is not a Diamond Edition vaultable Classic. Aladdin is.

Aladdin will sell for more than Roger. Guaranteed.

Meaning that after 6-12 months it will be thrown back in the Vault to suffer in darkness until Disney decide to release it in to the light of day once more after many a year.

Recent example, Beauty and the Beast.

Or simply Disney stop printing some of their most popular animation, meaning it disapears from retail for years forcing up the price on the black market (eBay etc) because no stores sell it.

Let's just hope orders get to us in mint condition, and that Zavvi doesn't decide to revert back to old packaging

ALADDIN has not even come to North America yet. We might see one or two new SteelBooks a year and a half from now.

My own rule is, when a Disney classic comes out on steelbook, buy as many as you can comfortably afford. Its a no brainer.

5000 copies already sold out? Doh. I'm regretting not jumping on this right when preorders went live.
