Definitely picking this up. I'd love for Madhouse to get a blu-ray release someday too.

Twice Told Tales
Madhouse
Theatre of Blood

Cry of the Banshee
Tower of London
An Evening of Edgar Allan Poe

Double Feature

Oblong Box
Scream and Scream Again

Damn MGM own a lot of Price films that would be great on Bluray!

I would also love to see Panic in Year Zero!, Premature Burial, as well as the Count Yorga series (Count Yorga, Vampire and Return of Count Yorga).

Volume 3 could be split into two volumes if you included From a Whisper to a Scream and Diary of a Madman (also with MGM).

Oh, this is just amazing!!! Vincent Price belongs in everyone's collection, and this is just the type of set to have.

I'd pay an arm and a leg and a penis to get it.

Yeah, but then you wouldn't be able to watch Price. (Or the Stooges, either.)

I missed, btw: Did they say this would be a box of titles also available individually, or one big bulk collection set?
I might buy just Phibes and Masque if they were available, but one big box wouldn't sound bad either.

Only mentioned box. They're all classics though, except Haunted Palace, which is still pretty good. So no need to hold out for individual releases.

All would be fantastic to have on Blu in good editions! And THEATRE OF BLOOD is such great fun -- hope that gets into a volume 2!

Ahhh this is fantastic news. I was about ready to give in and import Witchfinder General. Glad to see it's getting a US release.

I have actually been waiting years on these movies to be announced on Blu. I am beyond excited that I finally know about when to expect them. Vincent Price is the best of the best when it comes to Horror. Hands Down! Thank God Scream Factory is the company releasing them. Alot of companies wouldn't do these films justice, Scream Factory will for sure. Hopefully these all come in their own cases inside a outer box.

So, likely four discs - two double-feature discs, both cuts of General on a third disc, and a fourth disc with the sixth film and perhaps a feature-length Price or Poe/Price/Corman doc, plus a few featurettes and ported commentaries?

Potential portable extras from the MGM DVDs:

The Pit and the Pendulum

Corman commentary
Theatrical Prologue
Trailer

The Fall of the House of Usher

Corman Commentary
Trailer

The Masque of the Red Death

Corman interview
Trailer

The Abominable Dr. Phibes

Trailer

The Haunted Castle

'A Change of Poe' - Corman interview
Trailer

Witchfinder General

Ccommentary with producer Philip Waddilove and star Ian Ogilvy moderated by screenwriter Steve Haberman
'Witchfinder General: Michael Reeves' Classic' - featurette

So three commentaries, a featurette and two Corman interviews. Certainly room for expansion there, although, as I said, I could see a substantial documentary (hour plus) on Corman/Poe and/or Price housed on a fourth and final disc being the primary additional extra.

wOh, a commentary on Phibes seems a definite possibility to me. That (sort of) reminds me - whatever happened to David del Valle's Corman/Poe book? It was originally slated to come out in 2010.

PHIBES!!!! Finally! I can't believe it! After two years of posting this as my most wanted horror title on blu, it is finally coming! This was a childhood favorite, campy good scary fun and the reason I became a Vincent Price fan for life.

*weeps with joy*

*happy dance*

I hope they keep the original poster for the cover art. It's a classic!

My favourite Price. Amazing supporting cast too, including the wonderful Diana Rigg.

I really hope Masque Of The Red Death is uncut, unlike the MGM DVD.

Masque of the Red Freaking Death. One of the all-time best B-horror films. The whole set will be bought, and fast.
