It Depends --- Normally I would take the Digibook .............. but I have a
1 1/2 year old and Steelbooks hold up a lot better if she manages to get her hands on them.

Digibooks

At first I only picked up Digi's of movies that I wanted but then started collecting them which has opened my eyes to movies I would have never purchased. If a Digi of a movie I am really interested in pops up overseas I usually go out of my way to aquire them for my collection

Cheers,
CC-

Digibooks. Much easier to open and use, and the pages leave room for additional artwork.

I enjoy both really, but if it's a decent digibook, I'm all over it. A couple of gripes with some digibooks is that a couple that I've seen don't have a lot of content, but have screen shots, etc. which looks to me like filler. The other is that I've noticed that some digibooks are in different sizes, which look a little odd in the library.

I think there's a lot of pent up demand with digibooks, because most regular BDs are so completely devoid of any printed material included with the disc, that people are willing to pay a premium for a little booklet. I know that there are many here that can't relate to this, but when LPs were taken over by CDs a lot of people were upset that they no longer had decent artwork or program notes since the smaller CD packaging really limited the inclusion of those nice little extras. I applaud some studios out there that do provide booklets with their regular BD packaging. Studio Canal's release of The Lady Killers comes to mind when they provided a booklet that would put most digibooks to shame.

Digibooks by far but I love them both it just seems to me of thought that gets put into the decision on which movies gets released in digibooks. Whereas there are way more titles released in steelbook. For instance does anyone feel that Silent Hill deserved a steelbook.

As an additional deciding factor, Steelbooks have devalued themselves by being issued for mere catalog titles, with limited extras, plain artwork, and no interior artwork. Whereas, a Digibook is usually about the most feature rich edition out at any given time.

I voted for steelbooks and only because I just wanted to help even out the votes.
Honestly, I don't have a preference. It is just a coincidence that I have more steelbooks than digibooks.
We need more steelbook votes!

So do you live in a house without climate control in Siberia or Egypt or just want to store Steels in your oven/fridge because of lack of space?

Is this serious?! Steelbooks popping due to extreme cold/heat? Who stores their steelbooks in a place where that could happen?!

Digibooks get my vote too. If shelf space is an issue, I can always stick them in the freezer along with the frozen peas without having to worry
