The bolded one is the one I can't wait for.

If you remember in the doc, the mysterious guy who "uncovers" the secrets of the shinning and puts them online who denied to be interviewed in anything related to the films alleged "secrets".

He was an enigma, and went by the name mstrmnd on the Shining forum where this documentary was inspired.

I'm curious to see just how paranoid of a schizophrenic he is.

Just pre-ordered this! I didn't get all the hate for this documentary, I found it very intriguing and interesting throughout. The well-made film and the absolutely stunning packaging made it a must-own for me!

I want this, but the price for the BD is ridiculous. Currently $26,98 on Amazon. That price is even more shocking when you realize the DVD version is just $9.93.

I like the design for the Blu-ray release and theatrical poster.

It's better than 50% of the stuff out there today.

I just watched this a couple of days ago. I was surprised how much I liked it. I do not buy into any of the "conspiracy" or wilder theories put forward, but from the way the director juxtaposes them, it seems neither does he. Instead it becomes sort of a love letter to film and to the passion for film these people show.

I found some of the more wacky elements hilarious - like when that woman insists on seeing a skiing poster as a minotaur, which is only possible if you watch it from a low resolution source that obscures the details.

Btw. Leon Vitali made some interesting comments about the documentary in an article in NY Times some time ago, basically laughing at most of the theories.

This^

The passion that shines from these individuals might seem wacky or weird but they have an affinity for the film just as we do.

Have had a look through this thread for the US Blu-ray/DVD combo release of Room 237, but couldn't see it mentioned, whether the Blu-ray disc is region A or region free.

This is definitely a very fun documentary to watch, I mean repeat value to boot. By the way has anyone seen the trailer for the "Ghostbusters" documentary that is done in the same fashion "Room 237" was done in? If you think anything regarding information and connections about things in "Room 237" was a reach or pretty far out there, I can only wonder how hard they were grasping at straws for this one.

But here's the trailer, "Spook Central" -

I'm also still debating with myself, if this is even real or a parody trailer making fun on "Room 237."

EDIT - This article claims it's fake, http://www.celebuzz.com/2013-06-11/i...s-documentary/.

Thanks for the great pics GxyExpress999, it's a beautifully put-together package. Probably one of the best of the year I'd say.

The review is funny. It sums up everything bad I heard about the documentary. It still calls to me though.

Yeah, it's one of the most creative designs I've seen this year.

Saw this a while back, It's not very good.. Shining is my 2nd favourite film of all time after Blade Runner and I just found the theory's nonsensical..

If you love the Shining then you will love it for what it is and the atmosphere that makes it one of the most haunting films of all time.
