Me, too. Plus it's more of historical interest point to have the original theatrical version, and the original TV version. I'm not interested in some hybrid that never showed anywhere.

Well, Anchor Bay HAS to re-release this movie multiple times. It's the only good thing they have left over from the late 90's DVD releases. Now they just have a bunch of Thomas the Train and workout BS.

On a more positive note, I'm already sold based on the new commentary track. I'll hold off on selling my original blu-ray of Halloween for the simple fact that they may not include the old commentary track.

As previously mentioned, they keep re-releasing Halloween because they don't have much else that'll make good money. At least in their minds. I wouldn't be suprised if only the new commentary track is on this 35th Anniversary Edition, forcing collectors and completist's to HAVE to continue going out and buying both versions, thus making them more money.

It's not the first time this will have happened. Look at The Evil Dead's blu-ray release. Both the "Limited Edition" (pfft) and the single disc release ONLY contained the newly recorded track and left the two awesome old tracks with the DVD's, even though they were great. Bruce's solo track was one of the most entertaining I've ever listened to.

While on that subject,

[Show spoiler]if anyone wants the most complete "Evil Dead" set, forget the Limited Edition, it only includes most of what's on the 3-Disc ultimate edition DVD set but left the 2 commentary tracks I mentioned behind. Grab the single disc release and the 3-Disc DVD and you'll have a more complete set than the supposed "limited edition" release.
