The blu ray double back is in separate cases. Haven't seen the DVD double pack but would assume is the same as we haven't had a diamond edition 2 movie collection in 1 amaray

The picture on this looks good, but the sound is awkward. The insertion of the stereo versions of the songs results in sound effects missing at times, noticeably when Bagheera gets squashed behind the door during the "I Wanna Be Like You" number. Hopefully, the US disc will have the mono track.

When I did the phone call to Disney regarding the Little Mermaid exchange, I asked the girl who took my call if there are any differences between the Diamond editions released in the world.. She told me that the movie should be from the same build, but wasn't sure about if the extras would be different or not..

Now that the extras on the Region A have been announced, can anyone tell me if the release on Feb 11/14 in North America will be any different?

There will be two versions – a Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy set in gold packaging and a Blu-ray/DVD set in blue packaging. Extras on both will include all the previous DVD extras, plus introductions by Diane Disney Miller and Richard M. Sherman, an alternate ending (Mowgli and The Hunter), the Music, Memories & Mowgli: A Conversation with Richard M. Sherman, Diane Disney Miller and Floyd Norman featurette, Disney Intermission “Bear-E-Oke” Sing-a-Longs hosted by Baloo, something called @DisneyAnimation: Sparking Creativity and finally what appears to be a promotional featurette – I Wanna Be Like You: Hangin’ Out at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Audio will include 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Digital 5.1 and the “original theatrical mix.”

My only concern is the fact that since there was a few screw ups with the Little Mermaid, I just hope that there hasn't been with Jungle Book if I choose to buy it from overseas..
