Regarding Deep Discount's current television titles offer/sale, which ends a week today (Wednesday, January 31st) just before midnight US Central Time, there are a couple of DVD season boxsets released by Shout that I was planning on getting. However, having checked earlier they're currently on backorder (could get them from Amazon if they're not back in stock before the end of next Wednesday).

Using the above, two posts I made as a foundation for this post.

Have Shout's DVD release of the first two seasons of Sisters, and was going to get the third season DVD set during the Television boxsets sale on Deep Discount. In the end, I didn't get anything (I noticed that the price was creeping back up, and when I checked Amazon.com at that time the cheaper price it was on there (cheaper than Deep Discount), that too had gone up. So I'll wait for a drop in the price again, or a television boxsets sale on Shout's website.

The Facts of Life - The Complete Series original release with the bonus disc, booklet and rigid slipcase is going out of print. It's currently part of the sale that ends in a few hours and there are 35 copies left! I bought a copy yesterday. I know this must be heavily bootlegged on eBay so I'd rather get it now, from the original source rather than determining which copies are authentic or fake from a third party seller.

Had a bit of an off day when I purchased a copy of Shout's Facts of Life: The Complete Series DVD boxset. I should have realised something was off when I ordered my copy from Deep Discount (the disc total was one less than what was stated on Shout's website listing page). When my copy arrived (it was damaged on the edges in places and possible broken plastic in some of the cases), I realised it didn't have the bonus disc. I'd like to state that not every DVD/Blu-ray boxset I've ordered from Deep Discount has arrived damaged.

It makes me think of Shout's Dragnet: Season Two DVD boxset (that I haven't bought yet). Among the extras/bonus features is the pilot film. But I had read on the web that there is an error with it, and at that time Shout started a disc replacement program. I contacted Shout this year or last year about whether they're still doing this program, and (understandably) they said they're no longer doing it. So if I do choose to start collecting the Dragnet DVD sets, the Season 2 set will include the pilot film with the error.

In Shout's recent sale, I (finally) decided to get the Sisters: Season Three DVD set.

I'm sorry to hear that about your Facts of Life DVD set! I noticed that Deep Discount doesn't have the best in shipping packaging. I still order from them whenever they have the cheapest price, though. I've only had one item that had minor damage.

If you order the Dragnet: Season Two set direct from Shout, I would assume by now the corrected disc would be included. Especially if they stopped the disc replacement program.

I could call this a part-senior moment, as after the amount of times I've read other members' posts on here about a corrected disc/corrected discs being included later on, I didn't think that might have happened with Shout's Dragnet: Season Two set (if so, more likely if I ordered directly, instead of ordering from Deep Discount?).

Did want to know if the Season Two set has slipcases inside a cardboard slipcase, with Seasons Three and Four in one plastic case (the last two seasons have less discs).

When ordering a boxset from Deep Discount now, I order a few other items with it so cardboard box packaging is used.

I don't own Dragnet: Season 2 but according to this eBay listing, it has three thinpak cases inside a slipbox.
