Is this a Mini or Maxi series?
Or is it going to be a Multi-Season Series?

Season 1 runs 13 episodes. Whether there are any more seasons depends on whether Syfy is happy with the ratings.

Yeah, I would hope by now that they've learned and are crafting a story that can end in one season IF it doesn't get renewed. I would hate to see this left hanging.

I don't know how many seasons they can really draw this all out, though, without it getting repetitive... and I say that while liking it so far. I would rather it conclude with a proper ending "too soon" than drag out for a couple of seasons then have no ending or a forced ending when it gets canceled.

So... Episode 7: The Keys seems like it actually ended the series....
If there is going to be an episode 8, I don't know if I'll watch it.
This was a perfect ending and wrapped up nearly everything.... except for the
[Show spoiler]trip to 1987
but I can live without it ever being fleshed out.

I imagine that we'll find out next week that things aren't fixed yet.

I'm liking this more than I thought I would, but it seems to me that this should be limited to just this one season. It'll go downhill at high velocity if Cole keeps stopping the plague, only to find out that something different happens to set the plague off. Rather like the way Heroes kept ending its seasons with the basic problem fixed, and then we find out that the solution only caused a worse problem to happen.

That's why I'm most likely stopping with this episode.

Agree with what you said earlier, but there is still alot to be explained like who the skeleton is in the glass container and what the hell is the red forest all about

The Skeleton was explained in Episode 7.
Red Forest and 1987 are the only 2 things that haven't been explained.

But, I worry that the show will either get cancelled and never resolve or turn to crap and just be another Lost/Soprano's/2 and a 1/2 Men/Big Bang Theory/Terra Nova.

It just seems like the end of episode 7 is the perfect jumping off point to have a "good feeling" with the show...

That said, I haven't decided to drop it yet. I've still got a few days left to decide...

Can't really say. I liked last night's episode well enough, even though it comes as no surprise that Cole didn't stop the plague from getting out. There was a nice twist at the end, though.

but how much of a chance will the virus story be overplayed?

As it is now, the virus and Cole are dead.
Episode 7 was the last episode for me... so far...

I just don't see how they could really drag it out, without it becoming a running joke...

Neither the virus nor Cole died in that episode. There wasn't even any reason to think that was the case... since there were more episodes in the season and they had a "next week" segment.

As to overplaying the virus... that's the whole reason for the series to exist. IF Cole ever stops the virus from being released and fully destroys it... he will disappear and the future will be replaced by a non-apocalypse future.

I never watch/see the "Next week on..." segments.

I get that... but you at least knew there were still a bunch more episodes this season, even before knowing the series was going to get another season... right?

I did.
I just figured that Ep 7 would be a great jumping-off point...
It seems like nearly everything gets wrapped up.
Cole stops the virus and dies while doing so.

I can see that... if you don't like the show, that would be the episode to go out on... as long as you don't look back.

I do like the show, but that said... I have a feeling like they will drag it out longer than there is really plot. I'm honestly not sure there is enough plot to be worth a second season. This show just feels like a 1-season show to me.
