do we know if this will be available to buy WITHOUT having to pre-order a console?
Wasnt wanting to upgrade to the PS4 until next year (cant really afford £365 odd + xmas expenditure)

It was available to order for a couple of hours before the listing was removed. I'm sure it will be back and probably at £23.99.

There's a separate listing now, although it's not up for pre-order yet:

If Zavvi had changed this like they said they would when I contacted them on Facebook a few weeks ago, then this wouldn't be an issue

Clearly it must be so complicated to implement

IMO it's a decent design and it will be at a much more acceptable price and without the ridiculous wait time after making a payment.

I think it's flat-out a better design with the 8-bit artwork on the front cover accompanied by the title. The Blufans has the 8-bit on the back without the title and it looks cheesy. The front artwork with the hole in the brick wall in the shape of a body while the characters are peeking thru it just looks kind of uninspired to me. It doesn't seem to have much creative meaning to it.

The only thing that I don't know is how interior artwork stacks up. I don't think that I've seen the Blufans interior artwork.

The Zavvi version will be your basic single disc, stripped down version. Which is typical Zavvi. It's like a Kia. Sure it has four wheels and somewhat of an engine. It's cheap. The Blufans is the Ferrari. And when you order a Ferrari, it takes a bit to get it. But it's so much sweeter when it arrives.

This could also be interpreted as the classic "little penis" argument for buying a Ferrari, interpreted for collectors :P

Good thing I've got several inches to spare. Sounds like you might need a few.

Ohoo, I'll give you that one, that was a good comeback.

Now my honest opinion, I much prefer the cover of the Zavvi, the interior is much better in my opinion, a nice suited scenery piece, and I love the back cover.

I really did not like the blufans cover, as if I wanted the pixel face and bricks, I'd just walk down to the store and drop $50 on the Australian slipcase.
