I think the problem depend most on who is saying it.

To say PS4 and Xbox One has "meh" launch titles, is subjective, as it is form by opinion.

However, to say they are "meh" but bring up how good Nintendo upcoming titles are this holiday, that implies the comparison between launch titles to non-launch titles. Which is unfair by any standard. Opinion or not.

Not to mention from a person (Reggie) of his position, that makes his rep seems less credible.

We "Nintendo" focus on games, not the tech, like they focused on games and not telling us how cool motion controls were for the Wii or the Wii U, yeah right Reggie.

The PS4 and Xbone both have an amazing launch lineup. I still say Nintendo would be in a lot better shape if they would have had a new Zelda ready to go for the systems launch. They didn't and decided to rush the console to market. If they would have started working on the next Zelda title a few years ago and took the extra year to polish it up and put it as a launch title with a console launch around the same period this year as the PS4 and Xbone they might not be in the situation they are. As far as I know the Wii was still doing decent numbers when the WiiU debited on the market and that only hurt them more.

Nintendo used to be relevant... they completely lost my interest starting with the Gamecube. Seems that they used to be a leader in providing leading technology and desirable games... both have went to the wayside by focusing on "innovative" gimmicky controls and easily-accessible games.

The GameCube was a pretty cool console, the controller wasn't the best, but was spades better than the N64 one. Had some great games on it (Twilight Princess was the shizit along with a few other ones), but they didn't focus on online gaming, too toy-ish design and all-around too focused on first-party games rather than including more third-party support. The Wii is pretty decent console, the design of it is sleek and tight, responsive motion controls (Just needed an adapter for the Power Glove.....) and some classic games. 3rd Party support was increased, more focus on the Internet-based multiplayer and a slightly more powerful graphics card, still a lot of the 3rd party games were half-a$$ed ports with a huge drop in graphics, sound and sometimes online was dropped entirely. The Wii U seems like a step forward, with some pretty good ports such as BLOPS II, but still will be in last place this generation. Still gonna get one to have the whole PSWii1!!!!!!!!

Okay, I used to be a hater just like you, but even then I could consider Call of Duty a well-made game. Black Ops especially. It's so precise and easy to pick up and play. It might suck because it's popular, but it is undeniably a well-made game series.

The hate is compared to those blockbuster films that everyone hates, but also everyone owns. I like it because they are well-made games with a terrific graphics, gameplay and the storyline on BLOPS II is pretty good if not perfect.

Have you guys ever played Battlefield? That is a well made game. You can play Close Quarters which is basically COD but it offers a ton more if you choose. I don't consider a game that has problems such as spawn trapping a well made game. Could argue it's just the players, but the game allows it. I am not excited about Titanfall, but it looks like that game has eliminated the hiding in corners problem.

Titanfall isn't a launch title and is no where even close to a launch window title.

Wait a minute I thought it comes out in March with inFamous 2? Whats timeframe is considered launch window? Either way it looks better than anything they have put out to date

Around 3 months from a consoles launch. If the One launches in November as is suspected that would bring the launch window through February. Now Titanfall currently has a Q1 date for next year which could put it from January through March.

I have played Battlefield and its a great series but I do enjoy the smaller maps CoD offers as well. Some of my favorite BF games are Bad Company 1 & 2, 3 and 1942. I just don't get all the hate for CoD, with the exception of the spawn traps..... it does get irritating, but the Zombie maps are fun.

agree, most of the Nintendo fanboys buy those consoles because of those franchises, but it sure sounds like a joke the way he phrased it. You don't play Mario, Donkey Kong or Zelda because they are phenomenal games, it tends to be for sentimental reasons. What I mean is take the latest version slightly change the characters so it is Joe Kart or what have you and the same guy that is all excited by Mario Kart will look at it and say "Meh!"

I agree that it is ugly. Honestly I have no idea who was the brain-dead person that decided not to make it a clamshell (or similar) and why the rest agreed with him. Yeah, why would anyone want a portable device that fits in the pocket when it can be big and square . But I disagree, when I first saw the headline, like you the name sounded like a joke, so how can you defend the name. I don't know if I could find a better name, but lets face it unless you know that the 2DS can play DS and 3DS games (but only in 2D) there is no reason by the name itself that it would. Honestly when I first saw it I thought it was a branch off of the DS (i.e. play DS and new 2DS) and not 3DS.

I'd be interested in the 2DS but I tried out the 3DS in-store a few months ago and now I'm too crossed-eyed to click the pre-order button...
