I know at least one of you has played this through. When you start NG+, you get to choose a new magic tree, but your class does not change, per se. What are the requirements for unlocking the other character class trophies in NG+? Because I can choose Warrior, but I sure as shit can't play as a Warrior with no points invested in STR thus far. I can respec at one of the statues, but for all intents and purposes, I'm just playing as a Rogue.

It's okay. It's a souls knockoff with a story told like Darksiders or Diablo. There are two bosses that are a real pain in the arse, and the rest are no issue. None are particularly creative. I quit the game in NG+ at the one boss that spawns golems. I'm fine taking a few tries to beat something, but not when those tries are taking up to a half-hour each, especially when there is really no incentive to playing NG+ other than a trophy. I could go on with more of what is wrong about NG+.

I'm not going to recommend it, because I think far more people think it's a POS than something good. If you never get around to playing it, you have no reason to regret that. There are rumors of a sequel, but by a different team altogether.

I know this is old. But, did anybody experience any audio issues? Mainly when people are talking. I can hear everything else.

I think I remember something about audio issues when I played it. A quick Google looks like I was remembering correctly.

I rarely do this (if ever) but I started Lords of the Fallen last night and after 30 mins and not being able to beat that first boss I deleted the game immediately. Might of given it more chances if it was something I paid for (free PS+ title I think)

Never played the Dark Souls games so can’t compare anything but the controls and battle in this one were incredibly clunky and slow. I mean I DID choose the Warrior build which did say he had heavy armor so was slower but wow didn’t expect THIS slow. First of all it’s incredibly hard to rewire my brain that SQUARE isn’t ATTACK! Triggers for attacks? That’s an odd choice. And I kept dying and dying trying to beat that first boss, I kept dodging and rolling away his attacks but my player was SO slow I couldn’t get counter attacks in.

I was like NOPE! Life is too short and I have way too many games in my backlog (this one is proof since I’m bumping a 3 year old thread ) to not have FUN playing games.

I haven’t played this, but if it’s like the Souls games, they’re hard at first but they’re rewarding and worth the effort. saying that if you want to get into a game like that (the learning curve could be time consuming), you might as well play a FromSoftware game. Bloodborne was on plus so you might own that already

I got the deluxe version of Lords of the Fallen for $5.99 brand new digitally on the PS Store this past week. I was always interested in the impressive visuals and armor combat, but heard the difficulty was high, so I tended to wait till the right price showed up.

Visually, the artists did an excellent job with the graphics and designs of the characters, armor, weapons, masks, and beautiful cathedral buildings.
Unfortunately the game looks like a low resolution event on PS5, maybe 900p it looks like. A bit blurry looking. If it's 1080p, I'd be surprised.

Thankfully, the controls are responsive and were easy to get the hang of.
Duck and roll and/or blocking their string of attacks, wait to learn their pattern, then strike when they are vulnerable for like one or two seconds every 15 seconds or so for the first boss.

There's no difficulty adjustment, so I had to make my character faster by removing my heavy armor for lighter armor. Changed my heavy hammer for a sword. Went from frustration to success in a short time after that. I'm better with a faster character.

The goon enemies respawn often, but the check point can recharge all of your health and spare vials any time you want to go back to it after clearing a path of enemies.

A long way to go but I like the game so far.

I guess this is the sequel for PS5. I was not able to get very far in the original PS4 game yet.
