That seems really dumb to me. I would much rather have one art box to hold both parts of the series in one package. Seems to defeat the purpose of the box, other than getting two more surfaces for "art". It might make some sense, if they are already planning to release another season in the future... I guess I can see why they are doing the parts separately, since the digibooks are so thick, a single art box would be fairly wide. But still - look at the size of the DVD box sets from years back... I don't know, it's just something else to make me want to drop my LE order and just go with the regular edition.

im thinking right stuf might have confused the question about if there was an artbox included for the release for the LE's digibook packaging.
the promo shots show pretty clear that its a digibook & a 3d artcard, no additional shot of an artbox that goes around the digibook. this is funimation, if there was an artbox as well it would be touted in the list special features for the release. |

Right Stuf & Nozomi Entertainment Hey Adam, The artbox will be included with both the limited edition and collector’s edition releases. However, the artbox is not designed to hold both parts. [Jess] Like · 1 · Reply · Mar 14 ^^this |

Eh, there were quite a few spelling and grammatical errors in the original sub. Just was re watching and found a few. If the subs are improved that fine.

Very easy it's a relatively new series that runs 25 episodes. That right there is enough to do it but on top of that, more money to be had by putting it out in two parts now and then releasing it in a complete set down the road tripling their potential profits.

Like madlost1 said, the only real reason is the money they can make from it... one of the hottest in demand new shows that will sell no matter what... so split it into 2 parts and get more profits from two $40+ releases than one $60+ release. You'd think different tier levels of complete releases for an entire show would be enough though...(basic, Premium, Limited edition) as each would appeal to different demographics. But business is business, need to make money while you can...

It's standard really. Other than older shows and re-releases, how often do they release new 2-cour shows as a complete set? They did it with Psycho Pass, but only the LE version. Soul Eater was 4-cour, released in 2 2-cour sets, which sort of counts I guess. Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom did it too. Anything else I can think of off the top of my head is either an old show or something previously split re-released in a single package.

Just watched it on netflix. A bit drawn out to say the least. I watched a whole episode of talking whilst galloping through the wilderness running from a female Titan. Wouldn't be so bad if you got rid of the introduction and let it run for 3 or 4 hours without repeating the same thing over and over.
