Pre-ordered before I saw the film....and so glad I did...

Saw the movie yesterday (Saturday) and totally Loved it...it would rate as the best motorsport movie made...a great factual story told tastefully and in typical Ron Howard style...while the actors/directors are hollywood (Hemsworth mainly) - the movie isnt...loved the grainy 70's style filming (no glossy stuff here)

Very surprised that it got a mainstream release here in New Zealand (actually it's probably getting the biggest push on TV etc etc) and was extremely surprised at the vast array of people who filed into the cinema to see it....lets be honest it's a story about two Formula One stars of the past that many wouldnt have even heard of!

I have a passion for motorsport (Does that make me biased? maybe), and for me this was a movie I always wanted to see on the big screen.....And I'm VERY glad I did!

Cant wait for "Blu" release day......

Sainsbury's just confirmed the release date on my order as 27/01/14. Same date on Zavvi's site.

I like it, simple and tasteful with an interesting inside. Let's hope they use a high quality red finish

Doubt it but you never know. It is to early to tell right now. I ordered it as soon as I saw it up for preorder. Can't wait to get it and hope they keep the same art they have for it now.

They would have to put a border around it to do that. If anything it'll be debossed which will be better.

according to HDN it's going to be matte finish with a Pantone Red paint and embossed lettering.

Studio Canal have UK rights and they also had theatrical rights here.

Was very surprised by this when I saw at the cinema, as two of the producers are Working Title and Image Entertainment (Ron Howard's company), as I thought both of them had distribution deals with Universal.

I really, really, really hope that they release a steelbook version here in the United States. Love the sport and although I never got a chance to see this movie in theaters, I'll be buying this on the first day it comes out; just hope it's a steelbook. If it isn't, guess I'll be buying the regular version

....and the steelbook just to sit on my shelf.
