I was disappointed to notice that the case for Ms. 45 has one of those horrible 'DISC MADE IN MEXICO' stamps in large, blue, all-caps letters across the back bottom. The other clear cases I have from them - The Visitor and Trailer War - don't have any text, so I'm hoping this was just a one-time error/issue on their part.

Ok, so I just read on Drafthouse's website that the limited edition of The Final Member is going to include a bull penis in a vial? Is anybody going in for this!?
Definitely one of the most bizarre limited edition blus I've ever heard tell about. http://drafthousefilms.com/film/the-final-member |

Would would you rather they do with the penises of steers slaughtered for beef? I think they are sold as dog chew toys, but I don't think that's really better. By the way, did you know they cut off the testicles of young male cattle before they grow up to be hamburger? |

I've only seen a few of their films, but they've all been very good and interesting. My favourite is probably The Final Member – it's ****ing hilarious. Pieta and The Act of Killing are also great. Haven't found one that I've quite liked enough to purchase though. I hope this changes. I really wanna see The Visitor next; hopefully they'll add it to Netflix soon. Or else, I like Shion Sono enough that "Why Don't You Play in Hell?" could be a blind-buy. They just put so much effort into their packaging and whatnot, and the gorgeous posters – it makes me want to want to own them! They remind me of Criterion. Except probably better because Criterion would never throw in a bull penis with your movie. |

Mondo Drafthouse is selling VHS editions of Ms. 45 and The Visitor. I'm disappointed in the artwork/presentation - if they were big-box replicas of the original releases, that would have been preferable. I like the 'rewind' stickers, but they should have gone entirely retro.

from a customer service rep at Merchmo, the company Drafthouse uses:
"Cheap Thrills is expected to arrive within the next week." Sweet! I'm thinking this might only apply if you are an Alliance member...? Or perhaps pre-orders from not Alliance members go out at the same time. Either way, YAY! |

So...why are their earlier films (or those distributed from Image) OOS across the internet? Miami Connection, Wrong, and the like are unavailable on Amazon. I could get them on Drafthouse's website, presuming they still have them in their stock, but otherwise, what's the deal?
