Agree with you 100%. It not only helps you get around some of these TT releases being sold out, but for me being a horror fanatic it allows you to get your hands on overseas editions that are way cooler than their stateside ones. I picked up the UK Scanners steelbook release recently and its awesome

+1, If you can find a seiki sr212s , it won't break your budget. I bought a couple for $40 a piece.

Yes have had a region free player for about 4 years.

Actually, an upgrade for my BDP-93 is shipping now.

I've been mostly fine with waiting for suitable region A releases, but as a Gilliam fan it was Time Bandits that finally pushed me over the edge. It just irked me that I'd been putting off upgrading this film waiting for a decent transfer, and when one finally comes along I can't play it.

I've had an Oppo for a couple of years now. I grew really tired of that annoying feeling of reading announcements of great movies that were region locked, mostly Criterion.
