I'd like to see Jason. MK9 got Freddy so MK10 should get Jason.

I've always wanted a fighting game with all the horror icons battling it out like Freddy, Jason, Chucky, Micheal, Leatherface, Hellraiser and Ash etc. We have enough characters where a roster wouldn't be hard to think of.

Totally agree, would be one awesome game. Wonder why it has never happened? Maybe to many companies or does video game development not follow the same rules as movies when it comes to owning a character?

Yeah I'm sure it's all about licensing and which studios own the rights to which movie characters.

That's what I thought. Does seem like a simple idea that if done right could make boatloads of money but it seems like it would never happen to due right issues and licensing.

2014 still looks to be a good year (at least for my tastes), but 2015 looks like 2011 all over again, when all the delays mix with the scheduled releases to create one insane, harmonious stew. Now if only Japanese devs jump in as well.

Mortal Kombat X Details: "Storyline Continuation And New, New Fighters Confirmed, Gameplay at E3 2014"

Ed Boon via Twitter has just announced some brand new details regarding the next installment in Mortal Kombat franchise. He confirmed via Twitter that storyline of Mortal Kombat is hard to explain is it will be a combination of "continuation of Mortal Kombat 9 plus a brand new one"

In addition to this, Ed Boon revealed that Mortal Kombat X will feature some new fighters as well and two of them are his personal favourite.

Ed also confirmed that the first look i.e gameplay footage of Mortal Kombat X will be reveal at E3 2014 and added that fans can expect to see gameplay at other surprise gaming events.

Pretty awesome trailer! Is it confirmed that it is going to be cross platforms? I've read no and yes.. I hope not, but I'll still be jumping all over this.

You can tell from the trailer that it will be in 3D again! Running looks to be back! Also looks to be a counter system too. Environments are going to be a big play in it. Picking up weapons is back too. I would have to think that there is some actual game play in the trailer. When the trailer shows Scorpion and Sub Zero fighting like the style in MK9 (thank god they stayed with it) I believe that is actual game play.

Mods can you please change the title of this thread to Mortal Kombat X 2015
