Oh look, something approaching actual news on the release:

North American anime distributor FUNimation Entertainment announced in ANNCast that it plans to release Evangelion: 3.33 You Can (Not) Redo on home video in Early 2016. Funimation also confirmed over Twitter that it is aiming for late 2015 or early 2016.

Just saw browsing Amazon that I pre-ordered this a year ago ... glad to see it at least has a supposed release date, although I'll believe it when it's in my mailbox!

finally got my copy, looking forward to it! Very glad to finally see a japanese movie where the original creators took to task the idiotic custom of tailoring subtitle translations for local audiences. Great that they have both the original Funimation track and the new Kara enforced track (just to see the differences). Screw the idea of having FOREIGN movie translations which avoid complexity and assumedly confusing foreign concepts.

edit: finished watching. love this bluray in all its complexities and complications. The weird audio balance, the chapter titles being half code and concerned with the development of the film.. coulda used that un-included box-adevertised 2.0 audio mix, but still; 3-years wait for a great cult artifact! I wanna shake anno's hand, and of course the hand of all the khara-soldiers he creatively sacrificed for this less-than-fully-fan-worshipped awesomeness movie!! great stuff.
